  1. You can pre order water and soda for a very small cost. The water will be in your cabin and you will call room service to have the pre order soda delivered. Much less expensive than buying on board. I cannot answer your question re alcoholic, though.
  2. How about just going out on your balcony, if you have one, and let nature take its course, lol
  3. What do you normally tip for a continental breakfast in your cabin
  4. The same goes for air fare if you book with EZAIR. Book early
  5. Besides taking USA $ for gratuity on board our Grand Princess Cruise in January, do we need extra cash for stops in ports, or are credit cards widely accepted. We do have about 4500 pesos, about $350 cdn. dollars. We will be going to Todos Santos as well as Yelapa on the excursions. With the horrible USA exchange rate, about 38% premium, we want to avoid bringing more US $ than necessary...perhaps bring more Mexican pesos. We will be spending 2 nights pre cruise trip in San Pedro, but credit cards will be used while there. Thoughts, please, Thx
  6. We have been to todos Santos a number of times and really enjoy walking around the town. We all aware of the bus ride and what hotel California is all about and are looking forward to this splendid tour, which may not be for everyone
  7. Have been waiting for a price drop before booking as the price went up recently....Was $114.95 now $94.95 for the Cabo San Lucas Todos Santos, Hotel California on January 6, 2025...Great news...pays to keep checking, as I have been doing every day. The only thing is we have to pay in advance. Total Canadian for two;;;;;$261.26, and 38% exchange rate...ouch
  8. Thats good to know...have to make sure that they still have 2 seats available out of 20..Thx
  9. Our cruise is on January 2 and just checked the excursions for Cabo San Lucas & Puerto Vallarta: They just went up $20 each. I should have booked them earlier. Just a reminder to others to book early, even though payment is required at time of booking.
  10. Very interesting posts. So if we decide to remove the automatic tips and instead obtain envelopes to give to the staff that we feel give us personal attention, do we do this on the first day of our cruise, or later on?
  11. With the violence in Mexico, is it safe to take the excursion to Todos Santos while in Cabo San Lucas? The ship offers this excursion. We have traveled throughout Mexico in the past with no problem, but with the cartel promoting violence, we are now concerned. Thoughts please?
  12. Just remember if you take a excursion that is not from the Princess sponsored cruise excursions, and you are late getting back to the ship before the ship leaves, you are SOL.
  13. We have booked our EZ air flight for next January, but would like to see other options. If I go on the EZ flight page, do I just click on to the Change Flight icon? Will this cancel my original booking? Thx
  14. I have booked several months in advance with EZ, which is great as we dont pay till a few months b 4 our cruise. However, I monitor flight prices on google flights and they send updates on prices, so we can change from EZ to direct booking
  15. Should we just exchange our Canadian $ in Canada for US$ before departing for our cruise or take some Pesos as well? Will be going from San Pedro to PV, La Paz, Loreto, Cabo
  16. Price of NA beer same price as regular beer
  17. Thx 4 the clarification..No, I haven't cruised with Oceania. I wonder if any other cruise lines allow pax to bring liquor aboard...interesting.
  18. Presume that you know that you cannot take scotch or any liquor onto the ship.
  19. Thx 4 the reply..Very comprehensive and helpful...will probably take the 6 am flight with AC to Vancouver and then take a lay over of 4 hours... We are arriving in LAX 2 days ahead of our cruise, so have lots of time.
  20. See post 4. We stayed at Vagabond before and are staying there again for two nights prior to our cruise. ...it and it is a 2 star and for the price and the convenience of being so close to the port with a free shuttle and free breakfast, we definitely recommend it. Check out trip advisor for comments. No doubt Double Tree is more luxurious, but further from the port, no shuttle and free breakfast. If your are not on a budget, Double Tree may be suitable.
