We did exactly like Roger suggested and it was great! There is a taxi stand down near the beach in Port de Soller where we called a cab, waited about 10 minutes for a taxi. I can't remember the cost but it was very reasonable for the 4 of us.
Thanks for the heads up.
This is the first time we haven't had a drink package so I never thought about the drink discounts. Always assumed the other ones were auto-applied.
I know the discounts (like 50% off a glass of wine) are loaded into our SeaPass cards but do we have to let bartenders, waiters, etc know that we want to apply the discounts or does it apply automatically?
Thank you to both of you for the help, I am really torn on what to do that day and you both have given me a lot to think about. I have heard a lot of negative comments so I thank you @edinburgher for your counter-arguments. Don't know if my kids will ever get to go back to France so just trying to figure out what will give them their best "French" experience.
Looking for any help or suggestions. Family of 4 will be in Marseille in 3 weeks and think we would like to see Aix. Train travel looks pretty simple but I haven’t any experience with the area. Is it easy getting from the port to the train station? Traveling with the family DIY cam sometimes be stressful and I would prefer as little stress as possible :). Thanks for any help you can give.
@roger b I first want to thank you for all of the information. We will be in Palma de Mallorca on July 31 and I think we will take the train to Soller and then the tram to Port de Soller after based on your recommendation. Then most likely a taxi back to the ship. Does all of this sound feasible based on your extensive knowledge? Our ship arrives at 8:00 am. I’ve been in and out of this thread and wanted to make sure I had everything straight with all I have been reading about all of our various stops on the cruise. Thanks again.
Thanks Len, I am trying Osteria da Francesco, we will be there in 3 weeks and I was out of town when I was first able to reserve Armando. When I remembered they were already booked.
Lew, can you recommend a couple of restaurants n the Pantheon area. Tried for Armando's but couldn't get a reservation. Thanks for any help, first time in Rome.
We board the Symphony in 3 weeks in Rome and I can't access our reservation in the app. Website works fine but everytime I try to get in on the app I get a message that they can't "link this cruise right now". Anyone have similar issues? Thank you!
