Someone with status needs to tell people “no chair lounge for you!” You cannot leave your belongings by themselves, or those will be moved after 45 minutes, period! Be consistent and fair or this will continue...yes, TBC! Have an area where items can be recovered...🤷♀️
Maybe transgressors should wear a Scarlet Letter!

Good for you!Greet anecdote. It was almost poolside theatre. Or an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm. What would Philosopher King Larry David do?

You’re thinking US legal system. We don’t know where the lawsuit was brought…..
Prominent signage is a great idea! (Maybe include “Violators Will Be Denied Dessert at Dinner.”)

Table service at Waves should be better than waiting in line. We were on Vista in January. Waves was often crowded. People standing in line, people walking through to the pool, and too many tables on the deck passage area made Waves often very congested. If you sat at tables next to the passageway , people often bumped into your table. If Waves put tables out further onto the pool deck like Roviera/Marina, they could widen the passageway. On the opposite side of the deck, Aquamar has table service. Never saw people crowding to get in or through. The passage way through Aquamar was wide. It was a better choice going to the pool deck.
Good point about Aquamar. Close to Waves but 2 different worlds / dining experiences.
Aquamar more tranquil and less bustle.

I am happy about a 6:00 pm opening. We prefer dining early and on our last cruise on Vista, it was difficult to find a booking before 8:00 pm. Good news!

A poster currently on Vista indicated table service only at Waves. Does anyone
- know if this is going to change permanently fleet wide and the reasoning?

Years ago on O we we where instructed that they allowed 30 to 35 minutes for lunch or they removed your items from the lounge.
On Vista this week in waves only table service no more ordering at the counter
Would this change to table service at Waves be more efficient?

Do you feel lucky today, hog.
Funny!
There was a Columbo episode involving a
murder on a cruise ship. But didn’t involve a hog.

I've long had a goal to be "Czarina of the Universe." I could add this.
That would look great on your resume.

I wonder if Ground Hog Day affected behavior?

Ya know…the Vista needs a new Sheriff in town…to clean up
the chair hog lawlessness. Vintage Clint Eastwood would take care of it.

Maybe the Cruise Director followed this thread…

It didn’t occur to me that some poolsiders want to be seen on O. I assumed
that sophisticated O passengers weren’t that vain.

This topic has inspired me to be ecologically conscious. For
years I have been buying small bottles of spring water to drink. Always have one bedside. I went to Target yesterday and there were several refillable bottles with straw and filters, like Brita. The label read that the filter lasts 2 months. Does anyone have a favorite brand or model?

I like the idea of a lounge chair reservation. My mindset would be that it’s a free “excursion.”

My wife and I are refugees from Celebrity. That was our line
of choice for many years. We weren’t priced out, but left due
to a gradual decline in quality over the years, (Though I
miss the cherries jubilee at the cruise’s end.)
O granted us asylum about 15 years ago and we were thrilled to sail again last month
for our first post pandemic vacation.
There was never a lounge chair issue on C. As an armchair sociologist, it
seems that culturally, people are more rude, self absorbed and less considerate of others.
I hope that hasn’t happened on the CC boards!

Pool deck can be a great place to relax. It can also be very nasty. A gentleman asked the pool attendant to move a chaise out of the sun. He moved it to the end of a row of chaises under cover. It didn’t block the open passageway. A bit later, the man who had the chaise that had been the end of the row returned to his chaise. He saw the gentleman sitting on the chaise that had become the end of the row. The man yelled out loud enough that everyone could hear, “I picked the chaise that was at the end of the row so that I wouldn’t have anyone next to me.” They sat there quietly just looking at each other. It was tense. Eventually they started talking and things cooled down. I have never seen such behavior on Oceania before this cruise.
Senses of entitlement show no boundaries.
Last cruise someone was saving a seat next to me
in the theatre for her husband, who never showed up.
Maybe it was all innocent.

I didn’t notice that in the schedule…but if’s a great idea. Glad that you took the time to host them.

We have met many passengers who are retired from the Armed Services or former contractors. So
happy to see them enjoying the cruise after service to their country. Is there a substantial military discount?

Please don’t jump on me for this query, but we recently finished our first O
cruise that provided them in the cabin. Where are the touted numerous locations to fill them? I had no interest in using them but don’t recall seeing filling stations.

On our Vista cruise, I found the poolside song rotation too repetitive.
