  1. Check out the YouTube channel "Code 4 for life".......They were of the Emerald Princess this year and made vids of the casual dinning venues that they visited, including "Salty Dog Gastropub".
  2. I also have sailed from Quebec to Ft. Lauderdale and Ft. Lauderdale to Quebec......both times we docked in Brooklyn, so (to me) it is not a rare exception. While the terminal schedule (below) is helpful; schedules do change and sometimes even the captain doesn't know till a few days before.......(yes that happened to us the first time we docked in NY). https://nycruise.com/manhattan-terminal/schedule-mct/ https://nycruise.com/brooklyn-terminal/schedule-bct/
  3. I have done the Panama Canal 4 times (first 3 times on the Coral Princess). The viewing area that you are talking about was open on the Coral and I got there before sunrise each time (not that many people up that early). First image is from the forward viewing area on the Coral. Second image is from the forward area on the Caribbean.
  4. You will have to ask NY cruise port why they place Princess on the Manhattan schedule. On 6/25/24 both the Island and the Emerald will be in NY…..according to the cruise port schedule the Island will be porting in Brooklyn and the Emerald will be porting in Manhattan. By the time June comes around, (who knows) the schedule could be changed. Yes, I know Princess usually uses Brooklyn, but there can be exceptions (though not very often).
  5. https://nycruise.com/ This site shows both Manhattan and Brooklyn schedules. At the moment it appears the the Enchanted will be using Brooklyn (of course everything is subject to change).
  6. Yes, those are peanut butter cookies, and they are hidden behind the counter. In the International Cafe and Buffet ask the person behind the counter for them. While they didn't have them everyday, they did have them most days.
  7. On St Kitts there is Brimstone Hill Fort. Or you can take a excursion to the island of Nevis from St Kitts. On Nevis you can visit Alexander Hamilton's birthplace.
  8. One time I had 2 excursions that looked to leave before the ship docked.........Princess did change the excursion time on both excursions to start after we docked. The new time was reflected on the excursion tickets that were in our cabin. If the excursion has both morning and afternoon times, go with the one that corresponds with when the ship is in port........that way you don't have to worry about your excursion being canceled if the other one is over booked.
  9. The image from post 6 was taken on 10-12-2022, Ruby Princess........the image below was taken 12-12-2022, Enchanted Princess. Sorry, I didn't take any images of the Cuban sandwich this year.
  10. A few more images from the "Crossing the Equator" ceremony.
  11. That is the event they have for when the ship crosses the equator. There is a sign up for passengers and crew to participate (if this is there first time crossing the equator). Everyone also got a certificate to commemorate the event your steward will leave it in your cabin).
  12. Yes, that was the "crossing the equator event". The people sitting on the chairs were the ones that had to "Kiss" the fish.
  13. Have been on the 28 day one and loved it.........now we are booked on the 32 day one. As everyone here has said, it is a great itinerary but you need to like sea days for it to work for you.
  14. Like the decorations. They also have decorations for the Canadian Thanksgiving.
  15. Seems that they are getting rid of our favorite sandwiches.
  16. We did a PC cruise on The Emerald Princess, spring 2022 and a few weeks before the cruise we got a e-mail from Princess concerning C-19 booster shots and who needed one. When we got on the ship we didn't have to show the vax card. However when we got to Panama, Panama wanted everyone to be tested......Princess negotiated that to a much lower number (however those people didn't know that till they tried to get off the ship.....kind of like a lottery). As for all of those other vax, never have needed to show proof.
  17. We were on the Enchanted Princess last December (9th to the 19th) and the ship was decorated for Christmas. Plus one evening the crew sang holiday songs! We also have been on several cruises over Halloween and the ship was decorated for that.
  18. In the last year we have been on 2 cruises that included San Juan and both times it was at the docks by "Old San Juan".
  19. Was on the Enchanted Princess last December.....12-9 to 12-19, and the decorations were already up when we boarded the ship.
  20. We use a TA also. However I can tell you that the TA's are having problems with Princess's call center too. Long wait times, lots of background noise, trying to get them to make a correction, Ect. I just talked to our TA yesterday and he said of all of the cruise lines that they deal with, he is on hold the longest with Princess.
  21. My TA called Princess and Princess said that it was a technical glitz and they would fix it. So far they haven't, but it has been only a few hours.
  22. I have sailed on the Coral Princess 3 times (Caribe deck) and there are public aft balconies. They are for everyone's use......so enjoy.
  23. Thank you for sharing your experience. However, we haven't made any changes to our flights. But come to think of it, both of our flight times were changed by the airlines by a couple of minutes. Airlines are notorious for changing flight times and even switching planes, but that hasn't caused any changes in our transfers in the past. As you say......"go figure"
