We are cruising the Allue Jan. 5, 2020. I keep trying to book our my time dining reservations but see it is not available yet. Does anyone know when this typically opens up?
Thanks in advance.

I want to go to the turtle farm but am in a wheelchair. I'm thinking of booking through Carnival. Does anyone know if I would have to board a bus or if it's an open air vehicle (better for me). Thanks.:D

I like it. It upgraded me from a balcony to a suite at no additional charge. Of course, it took several tries to actually get the room booked. And then I had accidentally booked 2 rooms. And then I had to call when it wouldn't accept my credit card. And then the Carnival rep wouldn't honor the free upgrade on the phone. But I kept trying. After the fifth attempt it took my credit card and I have the suite booked at an awesome price. Yes, I was very aggravated. Yes, it actually took me a few hours of fighting the site and I would have given up, but the price for the suite was unbelievable so I kept trying. I received my confirmation and am ready to cruise.
Also, I use a wheelchair all the time and needed a handicapped accessible room. The new format allows for booking accessible rooms online, which I could not do before.

We cruised last week and were on board by 11:30.

Overrated: Warm chocolate melting cake (slightly cooked batter - yuck)
C-side bar-b-que - it was too windy, too many people in line, not that great
FTTF - what a waste of money- I can wait 20 minutes and carry my small bag around until 1:30 or so.
Dinner "beef" meals - they all taste the same, kind of like roast
Deli - dry sandwiches, too chewy :p
Underrated: Sea day brunch - very fun, nice food
San Juan - I was dreading this port, but I found it to be lovely and interesting.
Trivia and games - these are so much fun, especially when the crowd is large and people have fun while playing.
Port Canaveral - easy drive, less traffic, easy parking, helpful attendants

I've been on the Glory twice and Liberty once. I loved the Liberty. The ship was just more "fun." They both have the 2.0 upgrades.
-
I've been on the Valor and Liberty. I loved the Liberty. I really liked the cruise director, but I am not sure he is still with the ship. He was Karl with a "K"

What is the gangway like when tendering at Grand Cayman? Are there steps? I am in a wheelchair and really want to go. Thank you

We are sailing out of Tampa in January. We have never sailed from this port so I am a bit anxious. Could someone please recommend a moderatley priced hotel near the port area? We are driving down the day before we sail out. We would like to stay in a place close to restaurants and shopping. Thanks in advance :D

I submitted a form 2 weeks ago and haven't heard a thing

I have been on both ships prior to the 2.0 upgrades. The iteneraries are the same. Miami is a longer drive. I hear the Pride is getting upgrades in Oct/Nov. We are cruising in Jan 2015. We are 4 people in our 40's and 2 "kids" in early 20's.
I can't decide. Please help me!

We sailed both in the past 2 years. We loved the Liberty. The Dream was ok, but it seemed that everything was better on Liberty. We loved Karl with a K, but I believe he is not the CD anymore. The CD on Dream (James) was never around. We only saw him in the theater at night, and we just weren't impressed. Of course, we had terrible weather on the Dream and missed two ports...that could be the reason we disliked it.

We sailed Jan. 3rd and they were showing The Hobbit and The Interns.
-
I believe we are boarding a little later to give the crew time to take down the holiday decorations :D
-
I'm guessing that it is because the crew must take down all of the holiday decorations :D

Love your review so far. We are from Morristown, TN and are cruising out of Cocoa Beach this Saturday on the Dream. We are thinking of driving to New Orleans next time...it is about the same amount of time driving there as to Florida.

I received the same email and we are driving. I guess we will hang around the hotel until they kick us out. Rats! I love wandering around the ship before the crowds arrive.
But I do have a question....What about the people coming from the airport on shuttles?

Thanks for the advice. I've been to Belize before and it wasn't my favorite. I can't go on the fun looking excursions...and don't worry...I have common sense and won't attempt cave tubing or zip lining in my wheelchair :D
I'll have a nice ship day.

Back in 2009 I was able to walk with assitance and we took a tender via NCL to a private island beach. Leaving the ship was not a problem, but once we arrived at the island the people at the port just yanked me off the tender up to the dock and threw me onto the dock. It was painful and they didn't seem to care. It makes me very wary of tendering. And Belize is probably not even worth the hassel.:(

We will be going to Belize on our cruise next month. I am partially wheelchair bound. I cannot climb stairs. Has anyone tendered in a wheelchair or is it even possible? The pictures I have seen shows several steps are necessary. Any help is appreciated?

There are large signs that lead you directly to the port. Your GPS might get you lost...ours did. We learned to follow the signs.:D
-
We didn't purchase FTTF and boarded in Zone 1 on the Liberty earlier this month. Our rooms were ready by noon. It would not have been worth it for us.
-
We are sailing the same ship on Saturday. We can hardly sleep :D Love your review...but it isn't helping me sleep!

You may have mentioned it, but I missed it. How much did Mickey accidentally spend in the arcade? :)
Sunrise bottomless bubbles
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
Does Carnival still give reusable tumblers for bottomless bubbles? Are there soda machines on the Sunrise to refill drinks? We haven't cruised since covid so we aren't sure if this has changed.
