  1. IIRC the dashboard signs are only provided to passengers sailing in the upper suites. Passengers sailing in standard suites, such as Sky or Celebrity Suites do not get these signs. Those passenger just drop their luggage with the regular porters and proceed to the Retreat Entrance to the left of the main entrance as described above.
  2. This has been our experience as well. Never asked for a card in the lounge but have been asked to show our card at the bar or when ordering from a server at the Retreat Sundeck.
  3. Use his @gamil address that is in his signature. You cannot message through Cruise Critic.
  4. Her name would not be Wida by any chance? We had Wida on Reflection in December 2021 and she was wonderful as was her helper Bibek.
  5. Well, looks like there is no Power UP for January. It's a shame. I was looking forward to a couple of extra points between now and our April sailing, not that it would make any difference.
  6. As @RichYaksaid. no you will be able to get drinks on the classic package and pay and up charge for drinks not covered by your package at the Retreat Sundeck. Free premium drinks are only available in the Retreat Lounge/Michael's Club.
  7. We are in agreement with others about finding suits worth the price. We've sailed in Veranda, Concierge, Aqua, Sky and Celebrity Suites. The one thing we enjoy that I do not remember seeing mentioned is that on port days you can enjoy lunch on the Retreat Sundeck on Revolutionized ships. Having done a number of sailings in the Caribbean on Royal and Celebrity there are some ports where we will only walk off, spend an hour or so window shopping in the area around where the ship is docked or where you disembark/embark on tenders, and then go back to the ship, usually in time for lunch onboard. Since Luminae is closed on port days we find this very convenient and an acceptable alternative to OVC or Room Service.
  8. We are very glad to hear this. We have a reservation there next month on Harmony.
  9. It appears you are more correct that I. What I took for relays was in fact banks of vacuum tubes.
  10. The OBC is given for booking onboard. In my experience, it is not normally extended when you book direct.
  11. We try and book direct flights as often as possible. When sailing out of FLL this results in an arrival time four hours before the hotel normally allows check-in.
  12. You can keep the sea pass card holders they give you. We use ours all the time, even when sailing other cruise lines. When my DW does not have pockets in her outfit, I carry it in my pants pocket with my card on one side and my DW's on the other.
  13. @David KaneYou are going to enjoy Hilario. We had him as our Personal Retreat Host on Silhouette in April of last year. If you get the opportunity talk to him about his hair gel. He is really particular about his hair and we bought him two jars of hair gel when we were ashore in Curacao. Some one earlier referred to him as the signing butler and I'll never forget how he sang his introduction to us "Hilario the host" when we first met him. Really enjoying your sense of humor and writing style. The pictures are amazing. Please keep it up.
  14. Not in my opinion. Read the first line of the first post !
  15. Yes, as was said your Butler or the Retreat Concierge can do it. It's a lot easier and faster to have the Retreat Concierge do it as they have access to the reservation system and if the venue is full, have been able, on at least two occasions, to work with the specialty restaurant to 'squeeze you in.'
  16. I like Diet Pepsi over Diet Coke. However, I drink Diet Coke when I sail with Celebrity because that is what available.
  17. I have a more simplistic approach. If I want the convenience of room service and there is a fee for it, then I am paying for that convenience. If I do not want to pay for the convenience then I do not order.
  18. I assume you have checked in for your cruise. Have you looked at your boarding pass and the bar code on it? You can scan that using your iPhone and read the numbers at the end. If it says GTY you still have not been assigned a room. If there is a number then that is your assigned stateroom.
  19. You are quite correct .. I need to do a better job of proof reading before I hit Submit. My apologies to her and to you.
  20. I enjoy lobster. On our Silhouette last year, I had the lobster dish served in Luminae which comes with the champagne sauce. I was also able to get the broiled lobster from the MDR. I enjoyed both. I shared that and my wife.
  21. So interesting how the menu varies from ship to ship. As has been stated previously, you can't really say for sure what the menu is until a day or two before your sailing date or after you get onboard. Fortunately, I do not choose the cruise based on the menu. I choose Celebrity for the food, service, and the atmosphere.
  22. Travel documents are normally made available around 30 days prior to departure. You can find them when you log into your account via the web. When they are available, the link under "Your Documents:" will be active and you can click on it and it will bring up your eDocs. Luggage tags are normally found on the next to last page of your eDocs.
  23. We have sailed 8 times on Celebrity, all but 1 on S-Class ships. We have not experienced a lack of waiters/waitresses except in the theater. We normally spend our bar time at the Ensemble lounge and have found the bartenders and waitstaff very attentive. Three of these sailings have been post COVID but none on a ship sailing at full capacity.. I have see people waiting to order drinks in the seating area around the Martini Bar, especially when the bar is crowded. Our next sailing is on Millennium and I suspect that sailing will be at or near capacity. I am planning to do a live report and will pay attention to how service is in areas outside the Retreat.
