When you purchased Club Orange it allowed you to move from your guarantee inside cabin to an inside of your choice. This is the advantage of Club Orange especially when in a guarantee status. I have personally done this. I am sorry you did not know this. Did you book directly with HAL or a TA?

I saw the deal yesterday but I am going to be on a 45 day HAL cruise(round trip NY to Europe) otherwise I would have gone for it. When I clicked on the link it was $700 range for Concierge cabin.

We were on the Koningsdam Dec 5-16 and December 21-January 6, 2024. As I reflect more I think my enjoyment was mainly because of fellow passengers. Our stewards were outstanding as well as bar service in the casino, but the bar we frequented for happy hour, unhappy employees. We did not have the drink package and were regulars there. Plus, we tipped a few bucks on almost every bar slip. It didn't make a difference. All the employees are very hard workers but I am not sure this ship is the best representation of HAL. I can not comment on the MDR as we had the majority of our meals in the Pinnacle where management and crew was outstanding. I am curious to hear the Princess passenger comments. We have cruised on Princess but it has been a while. I am guessing it has to do with lack of activities. And, don't get me started on Adult coloring, LOL.

Although the Neptune suite lounge is very nice it does not include complimentary alcohol. IF you have the drink package you may receive some drinks in the lounge. IF NOT, you pour yourself a drink, sign a log and they charge your room plus 20% gratuity. I will say the Neptune Suite room itself is very large. It also includes laundry and dry cleaning(refer to chart). HAL's suite amenities is nothing like Celebrity, no comparison and no tangible important considerations. For myself, unless I can get an incredible deal, a lower category room suits me fine and money saved. As long as you go in knowing it is nothing like Celebrity you will be okay. There is a lot to like about HAL. ETA: Read the chart very carefully. Only a few of the ships have a separate dining room which is referred to as Club Orange. It is an automatic perk for Neptune Suites or you may buy into it at any category stateroom.

As the second passenger I would be worried about being charged full prevailing rate.

I agree. I have never understood this policy! It makes no sense especially since they got your money.

To me it is obvious HAL is not going to respond. Also, since leaving the ship the situation with dogs on board has continued.

Due to norovirus I wonder if they would have stopped at Fanning Island anyway???? On our 2019 51 day Tales of the South Pacific we did make it in. Best wishes to the ill patient.

I did not start receiving offers until I was well into a 3 star level. We are now 4 star. Aside from casino we spend money on wine packages, specialty restaurants and more. I have three cruises coming up and only 1 is a casino offer. The other two have a casino discount attached to them, but they are not inexpensive cruises, one being 28 days and the other 45 days. Be careful with assumptions.

Here is another strange...the 2024 28 day Alaska Artic Circle Cruise(RT Seattle) is listed as Legendary however, the same cruise in 2025 is not?????
