  1. Since 3 of our 9 dining venues on the Nova are in the outdoor Marquee (and since we are booked on a May Alaska cruise, daytime 55/40's at dinner), I was wondering if anyone can comment on the utility of this venue during cool weather. I know we have limited experience so far but has anyone determined if there are effective warming capabilities. TIA.
  2. Thanks! I have it confirmed that the bath and tub are separate.
  3. I'm replying to my own post! Only because I am confused, and my TA might be also. On the website under suites, it describes the deluxe veranda suites with the water drop as having a large shower or a bathtub and shower combination, If you go to ships, click on Nova, click on the deck plan and scroll down to suites, it says under all the veranda suites they have a large shower or a separate bathtub and a separate shower. My TA thinks this is the accurate description and it should be as it appears to be Nova specific. However, I (and DW) would love to have confirmation of this. :). TIA!
  4. I have booked a deluxe veranda suite on the Nova and just noticed we have a shower/bathtub combo (a little water drop on the suite denotes this). I have looked through videos and cannot find this configuration. Can anyone comment on the difficulty of getting in and out of the tub/shower? DW has trouble with high edges on the tubs. TIA
  5. Pic from the top of Las Ramblas this past May. Zoom in🤔
  6. Let us know how that layover in the Dulles Polaris lounge goes😀 TIA
  7. Agree it's because of the King. Or, in a more general sense the center of politics similar to the largesse handed out around our Capital.😀
  8. I forgot about Ray in the OB. He was the saving grace for entertainment. He was very talented.
  9. Hi jjs, We were on the Barcelona-London cruise and also enjoyed it. We're long time Regent cruisers and have been on O a lot but years ago. I have to ask what you thought about one aspect of our cruise. I thought the entertainment was way below pre covid. The Regent orchestra in the Meridian lounge pre dinner was not good. We did not go to see the comedian who I understand was very good. What did you think?
  10. Hi Welsh, Just returned from the Splendor which had a stop in Casablanca. We took a tour to Rabat which visited the Hassan 2 mosque in Casablanca and then went to Rabat. Riding through Casablanca was depressing and I thought the whole excursion was going to be a downer. However, just outside of Rabat everything changed and the city was fantastic. Everyone I talked to was disappointed in Casablanca. Sorry, but thought you ought to know.
  11. Good for you! I didn't see it. It is extra. And I thought I was so careful to show it correctly.
  12. My first time using Regent air and have great nonstop flights. The first one from Dulles to Barcelona is with United. Somehow my name on the United site (in my account) is written (not my real name:)) Paultstephen Miller instead of Paul Stephen Miller. Same with DW. My very experienced TA with a professional TA firm tells me no worry, it happens to her and no problem. I have uploaded my passport with picture on the United flight and have a hard copy "Ready to Fly" so I think I'm OK. However, anyone had any experience with typos in their name when flying?
  13. "We left our flights in Regent's hands." My experience has been that Regent offers flights and we either accept them or not.
  14. JPR, that's very interesting. We are Marriott fans. Was your trip with Marriott hotels, or, do you think all hotels do this? Thanks.
  15. I should have noticed you were looking at the Ovation. My comment on decreasing balcony size applies to the Quest and her sisters. Ovation looks OK for balconies.
  16. The balconies in cabins forward on deck five begin decreasing in size around 510. We were in 514 which was fine.
  17. Excellent video! Thanks. The increases in Regent fares are big and one of the biggest drivers is the airfares. However, I believe Regent can provide better fares than individuals which explains why, for the first time, I have used Regent air for my upcoming cruise. Use of miles is much more difficult now. BUT, we still go. I believe economists call this price elasticity, as in not having any, i.e., Regent pricing may be inelastic. The good news is that this allows them to maintain service. Unless, of course, management is foolish.
  18. I agree with this reasoning. We can see this same phenomenon in the way the airlines are pricing business class. Economy fares are still reasonable. BC thru the roof.
  19. WSJ article today on NCL says non-fuel costs per capacity day are forecast to be 15% lower this year.
  20. We sail both and love both. Seabourn's O ships are very plain compared to Explorer. However, for an Alaska cruise the smaller ships combined with Seabourn's emphasis on exploration means their cruises may be superior if seeing Alaska is your goal. Not a hoot of difference in dress. We find the food and wine comparable with nod to Explorer for specialty restaurants and overall quality. But we're not big foodies.
  21. Interesting. I need to ask my very knowledgeable TA about this. Thanks.
  22. Where does one find the excursion "Unlimited" cost for a particular cruise, even one that is booked ?
