  1. https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/23216-royal-caribbean-group-acquires-remaining-interest-in-silversea.html This was only a matter of time - is this Bye Bye Azamara Maybe they will be sold to a new cruise line - not a Silver Seas fan, cruises are over priced just like Seabourn But who knows in the current environment what is going to happen to cruising We are just taking weekly holidays in Australia, last week Sydney and maybe Brisbane in a couple of weeks Keep healthy and find new options, life goes on and for most of us oldies the finish line is getting closer Lets hope we meet all cruising friends again sometime in the future Peter and Trish
  2. Journey now close to Bandar Seri Begawan in Brunei https://www.cruisemapper.com/?imo=9200940 Peter
  3. Journey now seems to be heading to Singapore .
  4. For those looking to plan future cruises - please note that it is unlikely any cruises will occur in Australia for at least 12 months. There are currently criminal investigations into the Ruby Princess. Over 600 passengers have covid-19 and about 20 have died Cruise ships are not the flavour of the month and one of the top news stories. Australia has some the most stringent restrictions in place Australians may not be allowed to fly overseas until 2021 But for a country of about 26 million people have less then 50 new covid-19 cases per day for nearly 1 week https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-03-17/coronavirus-cases-data-reveals-how-covid-19-spreads-in-australia/12060704
  5. Have been following the Journey as well as Royal Caribbean and Celebrity ships since leaving Australian waters Most seem to be heading to Denpasar (Bali) at the moment There was a major transfer of crew between these ships in Sydney https://www.cruisemapper.com/?imo=9200940
  6. Quest has now docked in Muscat We are booked on the 28th March Quest cruise No direct information from Azamara regarding this cruise - but as 17th has been cancelled The cruise is likely to also be cancelled Any information from those onboard would be appreciated Peter
  7. Have just noticed the following information on the CruiseCritic "Ports Closed to Cruise Ships" Doha: Qatar's capital, Doha, has closed its port to cruise ships until further notice. Still looks as though Bahrain has also been closed Also Israel: Quarantine Ordered for Arrivals From Germany, France, Spain, Switzerland, and Austria The list of countries above will surely grow and affect the next 3 cruises on the Quest 17th March - Qatar and Bahrain 28th March and 14th April - Israel What will be the next country to impose restrictions? Still no information from Azamara regarding the 17th March cruise Azamara is still allowing guests to book these cruises with the 17th March itinerary clearly no longer correct Azamara should follow the lead of other cruise lines and allow guest to cancel with no penalties Peter
  8. Are the ports of Doha and Mina Salman now closed to all cruise ships Today 4th March, both the Jewel of the Seas and Costa Diadema are scheduled to be docked in Doha The Costa Diadema is docked in Abu Dhabi and the Jewel of the Seas is at sea between Doha and Dubai Also The MSC Bellissima and Aida Prima are scheduled to be docked at Mina Salman The MSC Bellissima is at sea and the Aida Prima is docked in Abu Dhabi We are booked on the Azamara Quest on the 17th March for 11 nights Dubai to Dubai Both these ports are on our schedule Its about time Azamara updated guests regarding docking facilities being refused at ports on this cruise
  9. Top Cruiser change to number of nights Maybe there has been a tie for Top Cruiser, it is unlikely they would have the same number of nights This will save Azamara one Tiffany prize But WAIT!! We did 3 B2B cruises in October and were Top Cruises twice The first time two Tiffany glasses - the second time an empty Tiffany bag We were told you only receive one prize a year As for giving more guests a better chance to win Our average nights per cruise in very high 11 Peter
  10. The link below will take you to - Members Benefits on the Azamara wed site https://www.azamara.com/en-au/le-club-voyage/le-club-voyage-program/member-benefits
  11. Have been to Lisbon with Azamara many times and it has always been Cruise Terminal Santa Apolonia The link below is from the Azamara web site - Directions for Embarkation https://www.azamara.com/en-au/lisbon-portugal-cruises#boarding-directions Cheers, Peter
  12. This site normally offers the best discounts You could receive a better price for booking return trip https://www.skyscanner.com.au/airport-transfers/results/95565050/ChIJcTVBlNp3dEgRfxTjeaGqRjU/2020-09-10T10:00/2
  13. You need to read the attachment from Bonnie The existing benefits are combined with the extra % So Veranda Plus would be the same as 10-19 cruises - extra 25% combined minutes or redemption value
  14. Azamara loyalty is about how much you pay. LCV is about total points. The more you pay for accommodation the more points you receive. We have been "Top Cruisers" 4 times but are only Discover Plus If we ever reach Platinum we will be the happiest people in the world We will have reached 100 years of age and fit enough to still be traveling! 🤩 We have B2B cruises in March 2020 On the second cruise we will reach 365 nights on Azamara But we don't think that Azamara will roll out the red carpet This loyalty level does not exist with Azamara What about a new discount system for true loyalty 10 to 19 cruises 25% - 20-29 cruises 50% - 30 Plus cruises Unlimited Internet. Those in Miami seem to only count beans. Peter & Trish
  15. This is a link for directions on the Azamara web site information https://www.azamara.com/en-au/dublin-ireland-cruises#boarding-directions
