Parsipanny works very well for the Manhattan Cruiseport if you intend to park at the pier. You go straight in I80 to the GW Bridge and south on the Henry Hudson Parkway directly to the cruise terminal.
Thanks!

Is parsippany a good place to stay for the New York port. We are staying here next month for our anthem cruise but we are cruising out of New York next year.
-
You could be on to something there. We are seniors and my DH got that email the other day.
Lol. My DH received one too. As much as I like to joke about him being old he is only 45.

You can't buy after you reach your limit. Try to buy before you get to your limit. It may work.

That is not correct. If they received their passport before age 16 it is good for 5 years from date of issue. Over 16 it is good for 10 years from date of issue.
Lol. I have to renew my youngest at 15. Oh well. The next time he needs to renew after that will be on his dime.

We are taking a cruise next March from cape liberty. We will be driving from Michigan. We are looking for the cheapest option for a pre-cruise hotel and parking. Thanks in advance.

You can't purchase anymore after you reach you limit. Purchases your drinks before. Tip your bartenders.

I'm sorry that I didn't see this reply until now (this lovely weather has created a sinkhole right next to my house...), but, as I'm sure you've already figured out, the interstates and primary surface streets are back to normal. Secondary streets thawed out quite a bit today but may still have some slushy accumulations that will refreeze tonight when the temperatures drop again.
That is ok. We are about 65 minutes away from Knoxville. So tired and ready to get out of the van. Thank you.

Did you have a connection through a southeastern airport (Nashville/Atlanta/etc.)? Because that's probably your problem. We've been dealing with significant ice and snow since Monday. Here in Knoxville, we hit above freezing (a whooping 35 degrees) at 6 pm tonight for the first time since Sunday morning. Everything has been pretty well shut down almost all week here. I really hope you were able to make your cruise!
How are the roads in Knoxville now? We are heading home and plan to stop there tonight.

Ecstasy will be smaller, so less walking. Very easy to get around. If you could stay midship on Empress deck that would be great. Empress deck is very convenient.
It has been years since seeing hemingway's place for me. It was great. Enjoy!
That is good to hear. I am taking my mom on her first cruise. We leave Monday on the ecstasy. Our cabins are midship on the empress deck.

I called verizon last Sunday. They said they may be available in a few hours, weeks or never again. I cruise in 8 days. I am planning on them not being available for my cruise.
-
I got a call too for February 16th sailing on the ecstasy. They offered us to upgrade to the owners suite from our 8d balcony for 1000.00. We turned them down. Our kids are in the room next to us.

Thanks for the review. I am sailing February 16th. I got a call to upgrade from my balcony to a junior suite for 300.00. I turned it down.

I would avoid Nassau and Freeport. If I found a great deal on a cruise or if the only cruise I could go on during my time off included those ports I would still go and just stay on the ship.

Looking forward to your review. 12 weeks and 1 day until we sail.

We are taking my mom on her first cruise in February. We booked early saver. If we are paid in full and receive OBC will show up as credit on her account? We are paying for her cruise.

There is plenty of room for a crib. We had a suite on the pride last year. I am not sure about 5 foot clearance on each side though. I am sure there is more room than what you have booked now.

Received an email in less than an hour. We saved 214.84. Woohoo. I will take it.

Thanks for the tip. I submitted three forms. It looks Iike a we should have a 90.00 price drop in one room and 80.00 each for our other two.

Finally cruising to somewhere other than the Bahamas. We are going to key west and Cozumel.
Taking my mom on her first cruise for her 70th birthday.
This will also be our first time cruising that we won't have to get off the ship and drive right away. We are cruising from Miami and plan on spending two nights in cocoa beach.

We had a photographer stop by our table on formal night. It would of been a nice picture if I hadn't had a piece of bread in my mouth.

I have never taken out of port canaveral on carnival, we have stopped there once while on the pride. We did take bring a case of water back onboard. It was sealed. They opened it up and took out one bottle and shook it. Enjoy your cruise.

We plan on booking the ecstasy for next February. We have been on the pride once and Disney dream twice. We are taking my mom for her 70th birthday. It will be her first cruise. I was worried about the size of the ship but feel like it will be great for a first time cruiser especially since my step dad has bad knees.
I hope they will not be disappointed. I know I will have fun no matter what ship I am.

CAPE LIBERTY 411 (and NYC too) Version 4!!
in East Coast Departures

We are driving from Michigan for our September cruise from manhattan. We have a room reserved in parsippany for the night before. I have been thinking we may want to check out New York City before our cruise. Do you have any recommendations for somewhere to stay that is reasonable and easy to get to NYC and the cruise port.
