  1. You were probably thinking about the poker tournament which is $100.
  2. The buy in is $25 & you play 7 hands in a round & try to accumulate as many chips as possible. They have multiple rounds & the top 7 players with the highest chip totals play off in the final for the cash prize.
  3. It's easier to spot a card counter by his/her betting patterns. Flat betting the minimum at the start of the shoe & then increasing if the count is favorable. The betting range will generally be a 10-20 point spread of the table minimum.
  4. You are right the practice is fairly simple but to master is not. You need a lot of patience, a sound mind [not everyone has that] & a large bankroll to account for the swings that any variable might produce. By variables I mean players believe that just because they have a favorable count they will automatically win the next hand. That is most definitely not the case.
  5. By having Blackjacks pay 6:5 instead of 3:2 the house edge is increased by 1.39%. That may not sound like a lot but it is actually massive.
  6. They can cut the deck in half negating any chance of card counting, limit you to the table minimum, no mid shoe entry or just tell you you can't play Blackjack.
  7. Very possible as there is a lot going on these days. Some guests still don't know that the Casino is open for slots from 8am in & noon for tables in CocoCay. Believe it or not some crew don't know either. LOL
  8. The Casino on Royal Caribbean ships have a license to open in Roatan, Dt Maarten & Bermuda.
  9. Yes but extortionate prices since the pandemic.
  10. There are zero ports in Canada where the Casino can open. I know this for a fact.
  11. You're incorrect. The casino will be closed when docked in St John.
  12. Royal Caribbean does not do checks however they can wire money to an account. This can only be for the money you won & not your bankroll.
  13. Yeah if a ship has Playmakers they usually have multiple ESPN channels which sometimes includes the College games specifically plus sometimes 2 Channel 24 channels. With no Playmakers some ships have less options.
  14. Most Royal ships have ESPN, ESPN International & Sport 24. You can check the schedules by going on line.
  15. Incorrect. All tables on Royal Caribbean hit soft 17.
