Oh Joy so sad love!!! I have seen so much and this still brings tears to my eyes! But The Banyan Tree is a miracle and a survivor!! It is thriving! The smell is still strong through Lahaina and pray we will see Lahaina back in the years to come! Reminds me of a small portion of Gaza ! God Bless!

Still remember retirement from my dentistry! Helping during Covid with giving shots, all the ups and downs , my heart with our home in Maui with the horrendous fires in Lahaina and helping as much as we could give while we were there to our community!! Merry Christmas sweet Joy and dear Allen!!🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄 Maui is wonderful did a lot of trimming of hedges and was able to connect back with a lot of our neighbors and the ocean is wonderful!! We are enjoying to be at our other home and are blessed. I wanted to wish you and Allen as well as all our DAILYITES a very Merry Christmas, and pray to all that need the prayers GOD BLESS! I always got a real glass for my champagne!! With elite beverage package I would always pay the difference for their best champagne. Now maybe the Prosecco’s were plastic. My husband would also get the best VSOP and it was served in a nice glass also. Now our last cruise on Koningsdam was this past Xmas New Years on her! Will be on her again soon so I will check the status on the plastic vs glass!

I remember when you guys did that. Now you both can do a lot of traveling with HAL! we have been doing Oceania and love the small ships. I miss that with HAL, but will be planning more cruising with her! Have a great cruise, know your west coast sister will always be here! I have been painting a lot more and love it! Shawn has been doing the Caribbean on Virgin Atlantic and has had a wonderful time! She is now in the air flying home!! Hope Father really finds you!! So easy finding you at the lido by the bar! It’s like the Koningsdam! Good nite sleep well and enjoy the relaxation !! 💋 🥰

Will be going back in January!!!! Believe it or not but the Banyan Tree in the square is thriving!!!! Such a terrible loss but we will survive and Lahaina will be rebuilt!! PS love the food porn!!! 🥰

🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺 Mahalo to my Ohana family at CC! Just a short note to let all know through all the shelters and food responders we are all helping! Our Whalers Village has alot of shops closed and restaurants BUT WE WALKED OVER TO OUR SPECIAL RESTAURANT from our home and it was wonderful to see the help happy and glad to be working ! Slowly things in Kaanapali is coming back. It will be years for our sacred Lahaina to be back and pray it will be restored to its original state!! Aloha 🌺Denise

🌺Mahalo Sis, We are fine. The fire broke out across from Kaanapali Golf Course up in the Anapuni Loop across Highway 30 up in a development area and homes. Not near us at all. We did receive a text and heard sirens. Since we are on the other side of Black Rock we were in no danger. I will include a map. Again very rare am I on CC right now. Doing too much to help the cause and we do have things coming to normal in Kaanapali!! Keep (Ohana Family) of Maui in prayers. I will not be responding to CC while I am here I just wanted the one’s concerned to know all is fine for us but just heartbreaking . Denise 🌺

🌺Aloha Just to let all know fire 🔥 is contained not far from our place in Kaanapali yesterday. Hotels some have power alot don’t. We are fine and doing well. Most cell towers destroyed phone service is awful. Hope this gets through. Whalers Village all closed down, and Kaanapali Trail from Canoe Beach all along our beautiful hotels to Black Rock closed down due to the fires popping up everywhere. Kaanapali is safe though. A lot of power outages everywhere. Whalers Village is now the place to get visitors out to Kahlua Airport from hotels. A lot of bus services. Sad thing is the highway going to airport will be opened then it shuts down and people stuck in cars.Like I said we have 3 large generators when needed. I got to go. I won’t be doing anymore texting or emails. Will be home end of September. 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺 Please remember Aloha Spirit to all here on Maui. We are United and One helping each other! 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺 OMGOD! Sweet sis, I am lucky to get through!! We are safe have 3 big generators. No fire 🔥! This happened all of a sudden yesterday! Took a pic for toasting to Annie and the winds were awful!!! So windy! Heard of a fire up in the hills of west Maui! 😞 Lahaina gone! Hope this gets through! Att is out but for some reason got cell service! We are fine no fire! Lots of food! You know we are right on the water! You know where our house is !! We are safe so fare! Spoke to Shawn she was worried! Won’t be able to chime in but know we are safe! Email is iffy! I am so saddened by this event! I am heart broken 💔! we are here till sept! love to all on CC’ thank you for your concern! This is monumental 🌺Denise 😔
