Question, I remember having delicious pizza on regal during MUTS served poolside.
Does crown have this as well and is it as good?

Hi Lootsie,
The last two years we were in C304 on the Crown and had zero noise issues from the hall, elevators, etc. It's a quite convenient location. DH uses a mobility scooter and we had plenty of room to park it and not feel cramped at all. The balcony is huge!
Karen
Would you happen to have pictures of this cabin ? I am staying in it on an upcoming cruise...

Another big plus is your butler is always right there in the hallway. In the other rooms they have to walk from the haven. Seemed like my butler from the spa suite always was running lol.

VV has been clear that that are targeting one nitch. You have to pick at least 2 from the following:
YOUNG
AFFLUENT
LGBT
If you check off 2 of these catagorys, you can sail VV
-
For me, I have done both. I have done inside the haven 10+ times and a spa suite once.
Theres Something about being inside. The closeness and inclusion of everything is important to me imho.
I feel like an “outsider” if I’m not there. Plus I love walking 40 steps to food lol

The biggest problem with the elevators is caused by the guests. Riding up to go down or down to go up causes more of a congestion issue than what would normally exist.
I agree. Everyone got in that mindset because of people on here told them it saves time. No everyone is doing it adding to the time each passenger is in an elevator.

So will my haven card make the elevators move still or not? Lol

95 if it’s a sat - sun
turnpike if it’s a weekday
use google maps and it will show you the fastest route at the time and reroute you of traffic gets bad or there is an accident.

Oceania is $2000pp for an inside and at least $2500pp for a balcony. I don’t think virgin can charge these prices and fill those ships. Even the new celebrity edge is less than this in its opening season and even much cheaper for 2020.
Oceania Large ship capacity: 1250
Scarlett Lady capacity: 2700
Although I do agree and I would like to see a cruise line do that, there is just no way they could fill the ships. Remember, the most profitable airline is spirit, you know, the definition of nickel and diming. I find most people like a cheap upfront price and the ability to pick and choose extras later. Except later, when people are on vacation they let free and spend away. The cruise lines are very aware of this.
Oceania’s customers are not people that “save all year to go on a vacation” they are wealthy and affluent people who don’t like the stuffiness of 6 star cruising.
What I was hoping VV to be, never happened. What celebrity edge became, is where I want to be.

I'm on the Bliss out of Miami in 10 days and there is still no terminal on my edocs. I read a suggestion on another thread to keep checking to see if it is added before the cruise. Nothing yet. Going to be an interesting embarkation.
Yea I agree, I’m on the 24th sailing. I wonder how if it was just a simple mistake or maybe they do not know which weeks it will be under construction.
I do know that 4000 people on one side would be madness.

I assume your're sailing out of Miami... I just looked at my edocs for the Bliss December 1st sailing, and there is also no terminal designation.
That is correct!

I just looked at my eDocs online and there is no terminal letter listed on it. Usually it will say B or C. There is less than 20 days to sailing. Anyone else having issues?

The GAME of Elevator Yo-Yo or up and down the elevator stair case -----
Strange you punch a button for going up or down and the elevator simply goes by your floor all the way to the
deck where embarking disembarking is going on or to the top of the ship where the suites havens are located.
What's up - well perhaps it is the Butler or Concierge escorting the guests in those suites to their destination
by use of a bypass key that controls the elevator. Just one of the hidden perks of being in a suite.
Elevators crowded - learn how to outfox the system - use another elevator bank - walk laterally and use the
less busy elevators in another area of the ship
Ride an elevator up or down opposite of your intended direction to insure that on its return trip you will be
able to be on that elevator going to your floor
Alternate to this take the stairs up or down one flight and then get on the elevator
Didn't punch the floor button timely - punch the button one floor above or below yours and take the stairs
As a matter of courtesy see folks in wheelchairs or scooters plan to wait another cycle for the next elevator
unless you like your toes run over
Normally on the smaller ships -16- normal guests should be accommodated before the overweight limit kicks
in and requires one or more guests to leave the elevator to resume travel - I don't know the limits of the -AWAY
class ships or the size of the elevators - but when your elevator doesn't budge - open the door and someone get
out to solve the immoveable elevator.
Lastly burn off those unwanted pounds - take the stairs all the way to where you are going - Whew now that is a workout !
As I remember it, Haven guests can also use their own key to make the elevator go in to express mode. Can anyone confirm if this is still the case?

Actually, I just checked NCL’s site and in the B3 category (which is what we got with our upgrade), there are 15 cabins available at $1111 per person, so we definitely got a good deal. Our total cost with UBP was $2210 with all gratuities paid by our TA. Same cabin if booking now is over $3000 total plus daily gratuities. Happy camper! 😃
I went from an OX to a B1 on the bliss via upgrade advantage for $165pp for the 11/24 sailing

This morning, I added bids on spa balcony and spa mini suite at the minimum bid just for fun. Got my confirmation of my bid at 9:03 am, one minute after getting an email with an offer of 20% off rates on select cruises, including ours. Went back to the page showing our bids and it now said Not Eligible for Upgrade. Checked the fares with the new offer and the rates were down considerably ($399 pp for inside including UBP). At 4:05, got an email stating our bid for a balcony at $225 pp had been accepted. No aft-facing balcony for us ☹️ but we did get a balcony on deck 13 up from inside on deck 11! So after one week with one increase in our bid, we got our upgrade! Definitely seems related to the drop in price. We paid a total of $894 pp for a balcony which would be $959 if booking now with more perks, but those aren’t important to us. 30 days to go!!😁
What ship and sailing?

Does anyone know why RCL aren't sailing out of New Orleans in 2020? we have only done one cruise on voyager of the seas and loved it. and as we will be flying from Australia in Dallas fort worth and then touring from there to New Orleans, it seemed like the perfect port of departure however I am unable to find any RCL cruises from here in 2020. We are a family of 4 with 3 year old twins and grandparents travelling - Disney is too expensive, we aren't keen on carnival and I've read some worrying reviews about the crowds on the Norwegian getaway (this would be a our pick otherwise.) but what we really want is an RCL ship!
I find the getaway to be not so crowded or equal to an oasis class ship. The only crowding you will experience is at the pool deck. During sea days it is very crowded, however if you are looking for a lounger you can find one quite easily up one deck. I’m a fan of trying new ships all the time because I’ve never had a bad experience on a cruise.

BLISS
Newer Ship
New BBQ Joint
District brew house (great entertainment that is better for me then dueling pianos)
New Mexican joint over mediocre Brazilian steakhouse
Food republic!
Carts and tag

There’s 104 cabins left on the bliss 11/24 sailing. So they are probably pretty confident that they will sell those rooms at those prices.
-
I switched from a 18 to 17 on an upcoming bliss cruise. My only concern is that people on 18 will be right above us, reducing privacy.
-
Does someone know the difference between the sizes of the balconies on 17 and 18.
I heard 17 was much bigger. Anyone have pictures of both?

I wonder if if they did any upgrading to it in the refit!
