  1. We loved our tour with Gone Caribe the highlight for me was snorkeling with the turtles. We asked to head there right away to avoid the large crowds and Jo timed it right:)
  2. We had to pay a oral surgeon $2000 for a gum graft in my wife's mouth that took him about 15 min so he still has me beat by a lot but ya I will take $600 an hour:)
  3. Called and put on hold for about 5 min then explained the situation and I was told they would contact the ship and get back to me in about 3 days. I got a call the next day and was told the ship confirmed my story so I would be getting a refund of almost $100 CAN. Pretty good:)
  4. Thanks for the info. It is a family of four portrait with a white background. Printed on canvas and hung over a desk.
  5. Bought digital photo package on the Explorer of the Seas. We wanted to get one of the pictures done on board blown up to 20x30in canvas. The Walmart website is warning that the resolution isn't good enough and another website best canvas is saying it's fine. The file size is 1.79MB the company provided me with this info: Below you will find more information on the file sizes and resolution we supply to our guests. All images supplied meet our standards of resolution and DPI which have been confirmed at a minimum of 2000×3000(resolution) and 300(Dots per inch) these have been our standard specifications for images for many years and meet the requirements for printing both onboard with our shoreside vendors as well as all common photo printing retailers. We often find that there can be occasional confusion between what resolution is and how this relates to the image file size (in Megabytes). We use high quality compression settings onboard that allow us to keep both specs of the images high, but also allow us to control the MB size of images keeping them to a reasonable MB size to ensure the speed of transfer from the ship to our guests on various media and printed products that we supply ou r photos on. Additionally please note, the images come as they are seen onboard, with borders and templates that cannot be altered, there is no additional version of the photo stored. Thank you Kind regards, Our Cruise Photos Support No I don't understand compression so can I print a 2k/3k resolution image up to 20x30inch canvas? The file size of the image is only 1.71MB but it has a lot of white?
  6. This is the response I got from the company. Below you will find more information on the file sizes and resolution we supply to our guests. 7. We recently got the all digital photo package on the Explorer of the Seas. We were going to get a 20x30 canvas print done but the resolution isn't high enough the pictures are between 1.5-2.5 MB. This isn't high enough for that size of print is there a way to get a higher resolution image from "Our Cruise Photos"? I have sent the company an e-mail just wondering if anyone has had success getting a higher resolution copy from them.
  8. We met Jo at the Star Bucks just outside the port then we hoped into Jo's SUV and we headed west to look at some flamingos then we went to the beach with the turtles he recommended 45 min but we enjoyed it so much we probably stayed 1.25 hours then we went to a "national" park where we stopped at two different spots one with a bit of a blow hole and you could see the rugged cliffs and coast line and another with a small cave you could go into. We then stooped at a nice restaurant that had a view of a nice bay and across the bay there was a 40' cliff jump that you could do if you wanted we decided to wait and do the shorter cliff jump at the next beach. We were hopping to order Iguana but they were out that day:( We then headed to the islands most popular beach that has the smaller cliff jump that we did. My daughter did it a few times as she wanted to perfect her back flip:) My wife loves foreign country grocery stores so we had Jo take us to one so that we could check it out for a bit. We then had Jo try to track down a post office for us as we had a few postcards we wanted to mail. He returned us to the port and we had a few min to do some quick souvenir shopping and that was our day. We paid $90 a person so a bit more then the Irene Tour that is somewhat similar but was nice to have the private guide and have Jo get us to places between the tour buses.
  9. Drove from FLL to MIA on Monday Jan 6/20 Left at 9:45 and it took us 35min we did use the express lane as we got closer to the MIA exit on I 95
  10. Just got my link to our unlimited digital photo package today has 220+ photos that I was able to download to my computer. we cruised on the Explorer over New Years.
  11. Who can I contact regarding a billing issue from my cruise. We had originally per-booked dinner at the Italian Restaurant but then when we told our waiter we would not be at dinner the next night our waiter said but it's lobster night. We canceled and tried to re-book for the next (last) night but they were fully booked so we switched our booking to lunch on the last sea day. Our waitress was a bit confused as it said pre-paid dinner she handed me a bill for $0 and said she would show it to her manager. I'm wondering if I will get the difference refunded to my credit card?
  12. We returned our rental to MIA at about 9:45 am went upstairs got on a shuttle that took us to the port with our bags. We had to wait about 5 min for the shuttle to leave. We were the only ones on the shuttle so we went directly to our ship. Very easy. We had rented with enterprise. Also rented with enterprise on our return which was easy as well were told to go right for the shuttle when we got off but didn't see one so went left got on one that then stopped where we were told to go but we got seats as the bus was full when it made the next stop. Again pretty easy just not as super easy as taking it from MIA to the port.
  13. Boarded the Explorer on Dec 27th got to the Terminal at about 10:30 took about 1 min to check-in but we did have to wait till about 11am before they started to board the ship. We dropped the rental car off at MIA and the whole family took the shuttle to the port we were the only ones on the shuttle 🙂 We only had to wait about 5 min for the shuttle to leave from MIA.
