Hi, Ive just booked a last minute cruise on the Valiant out of Barcelona. Welcome some advice on two issues. 1. The App. Trying to book some evening events and the app keeps crashing. I’ve tried re-installing, clearing cache & updating operating system but still not able to book restaurants or shows. Any suggestions? 2. Are there any solo gatherings on board ? thanks in advance .

Ive just amended a ‘standard’ itinerary today. I phoned P+O and they arranged a return flight 2 days after return to valetta and they just charged me the cost difference between the two. Very easy to arrange.

Thoroughly recommend the Retreat for the extra c£250. Adult only & peaceful plus view over the front of the ship is great. Service from the staff is great and when I was on in December 2021 the cost includes light meals - breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.

I have never really worried about flying on the day to a Europe departure until Covid. I was booked via Celebrity to travel via Schipol this saturday to join the Beyond but when I researched the problems at Schipol and only 2 hours between flights, I decided to pay for another flight to get me there direct the day before. So fingers crossed all goes well this week.

As stated above, buy your return ticket online in advance. The queues at the ticket office can get long. I visited the island on my own and used the local bus to get around. I recommend villa san Michele for the most amazing views and the chairlift also. Just allow time to return to the port.
