We are on a November 2025 transatlantic and were able to book cooking classes this week when they opened.

Am I to understand that a CC Suite gets more than one bag for 12 night cruise? Its our first one on Azamara.

Thanks, that's one of the hotels we are looking at. Also tried to book Albergo del Senato in Rome for pre-cruise 3 day stay but they're not accepting reservations until the end of this month. Hope you have a great time, we've got 11 months to look forward to ours.

Where are you staying in Venice? We're just starting to look for a 2025 post cruise stay.

I'm booked on an April 2025 Italy Intensive and asked for a PDF of excursions. Only the first port, Livorno was available and the AZ rep said no others were sales until 220 days out.

The PH aft wrap cabins on Riviera and Marina are somewhat smaller than other PH cabins on the same ships. Is that also the case on Vista?

Was on Regatta last year and it was far from a mob scene. Very smooth & organized. Islands were welcoming.

From another Floridian, we were on Sirena in January and loved it. Great food in all venues and the staff was terrific.

We were very much HAL devotees, but as they grew their capacity we grew disenchanted. We sailed on Veendam 1,100 passengers, old Westerdam 1,500, Eurodam & Nieuw Amsterdam 2,100 and finally Nieuw Statendam at almost 2,700. The service and food suffered as the size increased and we finally said no more. We're happy with Oceania and hope they're not going the way of HAL. We are trying Azamara next year and I'll be watching other small ship lines as well.

10% credit if paid in full by April 10, 150+ days prior
cayman09 replied to Dynacruiser's topic in Azamara
We passed on the 5% but jumped at the 7% offer. Maybe too quickly because 3 days later they came out with 10%. I'm happy with what I got but feel a bit burned missing out on that 10% offer because it came up so fast. That will fade though as we begin selecting our excursions next month and begin spending the OBC!!!! -
Spent 18 days in 8044 on Regatta last year and 10 days in the same cabin on Sirena this year. Love the location and booked the same location on Azamara R ship next year.

Where do you plan to stay in Rome?

Just off Sirena and the food in the dining room was very good to excellent. We regularly commented on how hot it was when served.

Reviews of Sirena on Cruise Critic are Concerning
cayman09 replied to katiebeth's topic in Oceania Cruises
Also just off Sirena yesterday and it couldn't have been better. Food and service were terrific. We were two couples and between the four of us there was only one meal that was slightly sub par. The dining room was timely for our expectations, a bit under 90 minutes each time. The specialties were outstanding, especially Red Ginger. -
Making Speciality Dining Reservation On Board for First Night
cayman09 replied to Rebels82's topic in Oceania Cruises
On Sirena now. After embarking I went to the podium in Tuscana and was able to book a table for 4 at 7:00PM that night. Only one person in front of me. -
Roughly a dozen bikes, half dozen treadmills, 4 steppers, quite a few resistance pieces of equipment and a bunch of free weights with 4 or 5 benches. Then there is open space for their yoga, etc.

We've only attended one show, last night was called "Acoustic" pop hits performed by the Sirena singers & dancers. I thought it was amateurish but I did love the music. They combined the string quartet with the show band and the combination gave a lot of depth to the sound. Mark is on the piano in Martin's and he's been great, just sorry he breaks 8:30-10:15. That's prime time for those not attending "Laszlo Pap violinist" in the main show room on two out of four nights. Left Roatan 40 early today, hope all made it back from their tours.

Leaving the restaurant last evening was a bit of a challenge walking straight as the ship was experiencing a bit of wind & wave action. Unfortunately it continued into this morning. As I watched from my balcony we were oh so close to the dock in Costa Maya but despite repeated use of the thrusters the wind and wave action won out. When I saw the pilot boat corkscrewing towards Sirena a second time I knew he was coming to pick up the pilot and we wouldn't be spending the day in port. The cruise director very quickly revised the day's activities and an addendum to Currents was delivered to each cabin. The ships live band ended up playing on the pool deck and we spent a pleasant day at sea. The four of us once again had no problem securing loungers together and although a bit more crowded than yesterday we easily found a table for four on the Terrace deck for lunch. Service has been very good with a number of new crew members who boarded with us in Miami.

Red Ginger was wonderful. We're two couples traveling together and three of us had the sea bass, one had the lamb. Everyone was more than satisfied. Yesterday was a sea day and our friends both had a massage at the spa. They both loved it but didn't appreciate the continuous upselling. Captain's party last night but since we don't drink we only breezed through. Internet basic package has not been a problem for email, text or basic web sites. Happy to answer questions.

Moved from another thread so I will continue to post: We're currently on Sirena, left Miami yesterday. The ship is in fine shape. We're in a PH cabin that looks pristine. We dined in the Tuscan Grill last evening and dinner was just as good as our prior cruise last year on Regatta. We walked up to the restaurant after boarding and were able to get this extra reservation for 7:00 PM. Spent day one at the pool and there virtually no chair hogs - plenty of choice loungers at 9:30 AM and its a sold out 10 day Caribbean cruise. Heading to Red Ginger tonight.
