Is anyone else concerned about being tested randomly at the Vancouver airport? I know they have suspended this practice until July 1, but my DH & I are considering booking a Pacific Coastal cruise on Celebrity Solstice in September, so it could potentially impact our travels. We have no problem with testing before we leave home (which in our case would be two days before our cruise and one day before flying to Vancouver), but as these tests are simply one moment in time, it’s a bit disconcerting. We’ve all known too many people who have been asymptomatic positive, and in our case, our daughter had to quarantine in France in May after testing positive on the last day of her river cruise after experiencing almost no symptoms.
I know we each need to do our own risk assessment, but I am just wondering if anyone who has embarked on a cruise from Vancouver has experienced this testing, and heaven forbid, found they were unable to continue their travel as a result.
Thanks for any thoughts…
