  1. Same room category but less desirable room than my first choice. My original room was already booked for 2021. No, it was the difference of a week in rebooking.
  2. I now know that this only applies to rebookings done in the last few days. Did mine end of April.
  3. This isn't working for everyone. We booked the same cruise in 2021 that we had booked in 2020. The 2021 cruise starts about two weeks earlier and is 1 day longer. With a less desirable room, it is costing us over $1,200 more.
  4. Bonnie--our local city governments are closing access to the beach. The beaches are owned by the state but the access points are owned by the cities and counties.
  5. In Oregon our schools closed two weeks ago and will be closed for 6 weeks. The governor tried unsuccessfully to get people to stay home but our small beach communities were inundated with people from inland this last weekend. Not only did they gather in large groups and leaves mounds of trash behind but they also did property damage to our public restrooms. Now access to the beach has been restricted, all state parks closed, hotels closed, and most businesses. Even if you live here, you can't go on the beach. Our grocery stores are still open but harder to get restocked since everything has to come from warehouses 80 miles away.
  6. What happens if you cancel your cruise and part of the cost is covered by free nights earned through the loyalty program? Do I get to apply those free nights to a future cruise?

  8. I disconnect when I travel so wi-fi is a minor issue. I've never sent anything to the laundry. I just like doing my own. But going to the Azamara website and finding this change and not being able to log into my account or check my bookings is a poor way to handle this change. Why were no emails sent out before the change? This is like the change to the app for passengers to use rather than the old TV system. I was told the Azamara IT people knew there were problems with the program when passengers were forced to use it. Customer service is important.
  9. We have done lots of Azamara shore excursions. Part of our decision has been how much OBC we have. And, we have had a lot. There have been a few clinkers, particularly to places Azamara had not gone before, but over all we have been very pleased with them. I don't think Azamara's numbering system goes up to 60. On average we have been in groups of 20 on one bus. There may be other buses going to the same place but they try to stagger arrivals and departures.
  10. Having done it, Azamara was very willing to apply my deposits for two cruises I cancelled to a new third cruise. This was made easier because I was still going to cruise on Azamara and I asked nicely.
  11. We once got reserved seating at an Azamara White Night event. The Hotel Manager was setting up a reserved table by the pool for fellow trivia players. Mom was in her 90s and in a wheel chair. I jokingly asked if three of us could have a similar table on the other side as it was our traveling friend's birthday that day. The Hotel Manager not only set up the special table for us but also made sure we had a birthday cake delivered to the table. This was very special. The only time I have seen reserved seats for the nightly entertainment is for someone filming the performance. It's first come, first served and always enough seating.

    Azamara today referred to the cancelation of cruises as an inconvenience. Like others we booked 2021 cruises on our last cruise carefully booking between obligations. Azamara took my deposit money less than one month ago. Now the transatlantic cruise is cancelled and I find out on Facebook, not from Azamara or my TA. My TA had not been notified by Azamara when I called her and she was told by Azamara that notifications would be sent out tomorrow. Azamara can do better than this.
  13. There are tables and chairs pool side at the Pool Bar and at The Patio that are not low and easy to get in and out of.
  14. Just returned from a cruise and noticed some changes from previous cruises. Daily fruit baskets in your room are not provided unless asked for. This is stated on a sheet of instructions given out at embarkation but, according to the customer service rep, 100% of the passengers did not read it, including me. Laundry coupons are no longer provided. Complimentary laundry is loaded to your account if you are an LCV member Explorer or higher. The ship's WiFi instructions to create an account do not work on all cell phones and will require a visit to the ship's IT expert. According to the IT expert, this is a problem with the program.
