  1. 7 sailings to 5 continents in the next year and a half and not a single discounted excursion, but the first sailing isn't until April so maybe this is a December/January mainly deal.
  2. Not as of our 3 Dawn sailings last month. Virtual and check-in only.
  3. You would be refunded whatever you paid for the package, so yes the credit would be lost.
  4. The ratio of likes and comments clearly says the sentiment is with you. Just got off 8 days on a mass market line and there was virtually no comparison.
  5. I would doubt that, honestly. The Quest does that crossing next year (Lisbon - Barbados) and then heads immediately to SA and the Amazon, ending in Buenos Aires. That sailing appears to be pretty popular and at a much higher per diem than Caribbean sailings so I would expect that Journey would do something similar in 2024. But who knows?
  6. We were really conflicted here after seeing the new itineraries released. We have 6 long Azamara sailings booked in the next 2 years, through early 2024. Waited for the itinerary release with a good deal of anticipation. Our reaction? Meh. Lots of recycled itineraries. Very few new port visits. It really pained us, since we appreciate Azamara about 2 to 1 over Oceania, but booked a 32 day sailing on Marina in 2024. And frankly, at a much better price, even considering the inclusion of grats and basic booze package on Azamara. And tons of OBC as well. Will we miss the warm feelings we get on Azamara every time we sail? Absolutely. But unless their whole formula is for conquest or new customers (especially with a lot of 7 day sailings) it is leaving many of us cold.
  7. You either got lucky or it is something new....never any bonus for filling out the survey for us, and that includes 3 in the last 6 months or so.
  8. The bivalent vaccines are available now. We have appointments for Wednesday morning at our local Walgreens.
  9. Azamara has been doing this exact same upgrade sale for many years. Sometimes a good deal, sometimes not. It has nothing to do with Sycamore Partners.
  10. Yes, you can purchase the Chef's Table separately. On our 3 AZ sailings since the start up, no sign of the Rijsttafel Rice Table on any of them.
  11. We've booked experience more packages several times and the OBC was exclusively for shore excursions. Pretty easy for the system to only allow it to be applied to excursions so I wouldn't expect that a wine package would qualify.
  12. We've done over 30 crossings, West to east and the reverse, Spring, summer and fall. I realize that you are searching for trends but even that is so variable that it is almost impossible to answer. We've had sailings in spring and fall that were like glass all the way across and others that the wind, rain and seas (up to 10 meters+) barely let up. On at least 50% of the crossings, itineraries needed to be altered, either minor changes (1 port cancelled) to major ones (the entire itinerary changed except for embarkation and disembarkation ports). Even after all these days at sea in the Atlantic, we go in with total flexibility. If you want even a basic idea of what the weather will be like much beyond "the temperatures will likely be between 50F and 80F", then you are trying to hit a widely moving target. Our next crossing is in November and honestly I can say I haven't thought of weather even once.
  13. No, that's what I was reacting to. They made it sound like some were beating up those who didn't agree with their Haven love. Which I didn't see at all.
  14. I haven't noticed anyone being nasty on this thread. Instead I see folks offering their experiences (both pro-Haven and negative-Haven). Maybe I missed it where someone said it was "ridiculous to need a butler" or "wasting their money." If I say I won't waste my money on the Haven or I don't need a butler going forward doesn't mean that you spending what you think is fair is wrong. Anything but. Use the butler to your heart's content. . We all make decisions for ourselves. But the whole theme of this thread, which is "once you've sailed in the Haven you will never sail any other way" is a ridiculous statement for many of us since we've done it. Many times.
  15. Our experience is the exact opposite to OP. After sailing in the Haven for several of our last NCL trips, we are bailing and will not be doing it going forward. For us, there is just not the value commensurate with the big bump in pricing. We would rather sail say 10 times per year in a decent balcony than the 3 times per year that Haven pricing almost always demands. Plus, we don't need special seating in the theater, or escorts anywhere (we have found that we are often off the ship in port, e.g., before the Haven crew makes their way down in the "secret" elevator with Concierge or a butler). And as for a butler service, we rarely avail ourselves of any services, which just doesn't make us ideal Haven pax. Haven dining, although very good, gets old fairly quickly when you sail long itineraries or B2B itineraries, often over 20 days. So, in summary, not only do we not need to sail in Haven after being there a good many times, we won't be there in the future for the reasons detailed above.
  16. I, for one, are very happy that NCL has made the changes that they have over the years. They've revolutionized the industry. And no, Specialty Dining is not the only factor influencing the perceived decline in the MDR. Many factors, from food cost to streamlining supply chains are at issue. And I, for one, don't mind paying for occasional dining in the Specialties. Especially on NCL, where a number are included free with my status or with the payment of gratuities with the dining plans. And I really don't want to go back to only set dining times, or very formal nights or rigid disembarkations or any of the other innovations which they have rolled out over the years.
  17. Didn't have it on our 5 June sailing but don't know since then.
  18. We were just on a Baltic land trip a couple of months ago and Riga was absolutely our most favorite stop. And an overnight in Stockholm is an additional bonus with the loss of St. Petersburg.
  19. Interesting tidbit about Diamond and Sapphire. The Sapphire was originally named the Diamond until it was damaged in a fire and they switched the names.
  20. Had a similar situation not long ago (it was paying for an upgrade rather than bidding). Was told the suite was available and they were computing the price to upgrade. That took a bit of time but we were mentally already in the new cabin. Came back and quoted the price to upgrade, which we accepted immediately. Unfortunately, when they went to change the booking, the cabin was gone. So yeah, disappointing, but we ended up with the cabin we booked 18 months previous (and were perfectly happy with) so no real loss. And we saved the $dough for the upgrade.
  21. The only time we do not use a ride sharing service is if they are illegal in the place we would need it. Too many times waiting in long taxi queues to not avail ourselves of Uber/Lyft it they are available.
  22. Salty snacks? You know the recipient's not hypertensive perhaps? Candy? You know the recipient's not diabetic? Cash? No allergies or health issues are known.
  23. For an Antigen test? We normally pay about $25 each in the US, less than 15 Euros in Europe. Been on 6 cruises that required testing and all of those tests combined are nowhere near $250.
  24. And some may think not allowing pharmacies to rip off a customer for a health test is a pretty awesome thing.
