  1. Get help in the Internet center on board when you first log in. It isn't as straightforward a process as it could be. You have to "buy" the $0 option. Made me crazy the first time I tried it.

We noticed that too when we logged on for the first time.

  2. We always do self assist debarkation now. But please people, if you do self assist, be sure you can handle your luggage. It's frustrating to be behind someone who has more than they can handle & has to stop every few feet because something fell off their stack of luggage.

We have seen this happen many times.

  3. Hey Sophia or Jay! We should be so lucky. Just booked a western Caribbean in Feb on Princess. Would have gone sooner but we got a fantastic casino offer on Carnival so we will be using up the rest of Bens vacation days on a Thanksgiving cruise..from Port Canaveral.

I definitely prefer it over Fort Lauderdale so maybe this rumor will come true.

Too bad that Princess will not be coming to PC but we can still dream ;) . Like you said on your other post, Carnival has ships at PC, Miami & Port Everglades. We overnight now when sailing out of Port Everglades so makes a nice longer vacation.

Congrats on your two cruises :) . We are still looking at Princess for a fall cruise to hold us over till our cruise next year.............gotta buy some more FCC :D !

  4. Since the Vista is a new ship, we booked an inside cabin because we will not be spending much time in the cabin. We want to explore the ship & enjoy the features/newness of this ship. We have had balconies, outside cabins in the past and depends on the itinerary what type of cabin we choose.

When we finally cruise Europe, our cabin would be an inside since the itinerary is Port intensive. Rather spend the money on excursions in Europe rather than on type on cabin, IMO.

    Enjoy your cruise!

  5. Thanks for your review on the Paradise. I had cabin M2 & the cabin stewards had a storage/work room next to my cabin that was noisy at times. No foot traffic but the noise that came from inside that work area was annoying. Of course, the thrusters made noise when docking which was expected. Nice size cabin.

Sorry you had disembarkation problems. I was in the Platinum lounge and as soon as our group was called, I left and was one of the first off the ship. Even saw Steve the CD standing there to say goodbye to everyone. Someone must have dropped the ball when telling your lounge when it was time to leave.

Hopefully, your next cruise on the Paradise will be without any challenges. The Paradise will always be our quick getaway cruise ship, easy to get around and service is good.

  6. Regal-- as I enjoyed the small aft dipping pool and the views over the wake. Also the Princess Theatre has side aisles, which makes entering and exiting much easier. The "improvement" on the promenade deck didn't make a difference for me. Much prefer the walking track. You won't go wrong with either ship. As evidence, I'm back on the Royal for two cruises this year.

We cruised on the Regal Princess last November & liked the side aisles in the Theater. Being the newer ship, we would cruise on the Regal once again. Nothing against the Royal Princess, just a few differences on the Regal Princess. We would do a cruise on either ship.
