  1. We have been to every future cruise presentation since our honeymoon cruise on the Fascination. Never learn anything new regarding booking the rates and I could probably give the presentation just as good as if not better than the loyalty expert because we have done so much research. We like to go to see if there is any news on future itineraries or future shift deployment and it's never a boring presentation.

And we did get confirm this past week on Paradise that the Miracle is indeed coming to Tampa in 2017 and they just haven't announced it yet.

You are correct........... Miracle has a charter cruise by Bare Necessities out of Tampa. Hopefully, after that charter is over , Carnival will start to have some 7 day or longer sailings from Tampa to include partial transits of the Panama Canal would be nice :) !

  2. I think the timing of the Past Guest party for the last day should be earlier in the week........but nobody asked me ;) . The last party I attended was last year on the Paradise before any changes was made. On that cruise, the show lounge was not that crowded at all. We mainly cruise for a great vacation and anything else is extra.

  3. Years ago, I used to fly into the departure Port the same day. Never had a problem. But nowadays, I would fly in the day prior to embarking the ship. Even when driving down to Port Everglades, we overnight at a hotel the night before. Seems more relaxing that we are already near the Port and refreshed with a nights rest to board the ship, IMO.

  4. We are actually sailing out of Miami to the western Caribbean. But, it's only a 6 day cruise. So maybe I won't get as much use out of it as I think. But I am still surprised that they are as sold out already for over a year and a half out!

Being that the Vista will be a new ship, we opted to get an inside cabin since we will not be in the cabin that much with exploring/enjoying this ship. Next time around we would get either a balcony or Havana type cabin.

Nothing wrong with anyone wanting any type of cabin that is available but that was our logic in getting the one we did.

  5. DW and I will be in Grand Turk in about a month, wondering if anyone has been to either "Barefoot Cabana" (formerly "Local Village Bar") or "Island Jerk" recently and what there thoughts were. I'm not too worried about chairs/umbrella prices, mostly the food, drinks and atmosphere. Thanks!

    Hi,

Go back to post #46 and #47. I posted pictures with menus etc.

Ok thanks. I misunderstood thinking that the Barefoot Cabana & Island Jerk was two different places.

  6. Thanks, gave them a call. Although I only knew the ship and date of sailing, it didn't matter because no one else has my name and only needed to verify with birthdate. :) Easy!

Also, requested a couple catalogs simply because customer service was the most pleasant I have dealt with on a cruise line. I never take the "1 minute surveys," but felt I needed to recognize how friendly she was. Definitely considering Princess again in the near future!

Great that everything worked out for you. I have always received excellent customer service from Princess.

We would be interested in any feedback regarding these places too.
