We would do the 8 day that goes to Aruba and Curacao. Really enjoy those two Ports!

We have been to every future cruise presentation since our honeymoon cruise on the Fascination. Never learn anything new regarding booking the rates and I could probably give the presentation just as good as if not better than the loyalty expert because we have done so much research. We like to go to see if there is any news on future itineraries or future shift deployment and it's never a boring presentation.
And we did get confirm this past week on Paradise that the Miracle is indeed coming to Tampa in 2017 and they just haven't announced it yet.
You are correct........... Miracle has a charter cruise by Bare Necessities out of Tampa. Hopefully, after that charter is over , Carnival will start to have some 7 day or longer sailings from Tampa to include partial transits of the Panama Canal would be nice :) !

I think the timing of the Past Guest party for the last day should be earlier in the week........but nobody asked me ;) . The last party I attended was last year on the Paradise before any changes was made. On that cruise, the show lounge was not that crowded at all. We mainly cruise for a great vacation and anything else is extra.

We go if there is nothing else we would want to do.

Wow......awesome, congrats. Maybe one of these decades we will get that call ;) .

I had a lady try to play footsie with me in the hot tub. She tried, I didnt want to engage....

Sounds like you had a very good cruise & thanks for your review. Live music is one thing we enjoy hearing too.

DH got the call today! We sail on the 1st and decided to take the offer from regular balcony to ocean suite. Very exciting!
Awesome! Congrats and enjoy your ocean suite :D .

Personal Vacation Planner at Carnival Cruise Line

Years ago, I used to fly into the departure Port the same day. Never had a problem. But nowadays, I would fly in the day prior to embarking the ship. Even when driving down to Port Everglades, we overnight at a hotel the night before. Seems more relaxing that we are already near the Port and refreshed with a nights rest to board the ship, IMO.
-
Driving would be better. I95 is a straight shot down to Miami. As an alternate in case of accidents, Florida Turnpike(toll road). Research where would be a good place to turn in the rental car near POM to see where the nearest drop-off would be.
Enjoy your cruise!

You can do self assist with all your luggage and then can take your time getting off the ship if you are not in a hurry to leave.
-
We are actually sailing out of Miami to the western Caribbean. But, it's only a 6 day cruise. So maybe I won't get as much use out of it as I think. But I am still surprised that they are as sold out already for over a year and a half out!
Being that the Vista will be a new ship, we opted to get an inside cabin since we will not be in the cabin that much with exploring/enjoying this ship. Next time around we would get either a balcony or Havana type cabin.
Nothing wrong with anyone wanting any type of cabin that is available but that was our logic in getting the one we did.

We are on the ship at least 1 hour before sailing away plus in the dock area one more hour before that doing shopping, etc.

DW and I will be in Grand Turk in about a month, wondering if anyone has been to either "Barefoot Cabana" (formerly "Local Village Bar") or "Island Jerk" recently and what there thoughts were. I'm not too worried about chairs/umbrella prices, mostly the food, drinks and atmosphere. Thanks!Hi,
Go back to post #46 and #47. I posted pictures with menus etc.
Diana
Ok thanks. I misunderstood thinking that the Barefoot Cabana & Island Jerk was two different places.
-
Thanks, gave them a call. Although I only knew the ship and date of sailing, it didn't matter because no one else has my name and only needed to verify with birthdate. :) Easy!
Also, requested a couple catalogs simply because customer service was the most pleasant I have dealt with on a cruise line. I never take the "1 minute surveys," but felt I needed to recognize how friendly she was. Definitely considering Princess again in the near future!
Great that everything worked out for you. I have always received excellent customer service from Princess.
-
Does anyone know if Princess still plans to make changes on the Coral similar to the changes made on the Island Princess?
Thank you for any updates.
Cheers
Louden
No its been canceled. :)Yes, that is very good news!

When we pre-ordered beer for the cabin, we asked room service to bring limes and they brought a bunch of them. Or like jwjax mentioned, as you pass by the bars, pick up a glass of them.

Nice picture of the waterfall. Thanks for posting!

We are doing a 13 day round trip from Port Canaveral on the Sunshine. This cruise is selling very good!
-
Whenever I see area code 305, I answer the phone right away.

We would be interested in any feedback regarding these places too.

TravelGuard, they have a plan that insures preexisting conditions.
That is the company we use. If you buy the insurance within 15 days of deposit , the insurance does cover pre-existing conditions.
First long cruise

We like the longer cruises. You will have 3 extra days to relax and enjoy your cruise in contrast to your 8 day cruise!
