Thank you for the information. Based on his condition, we will be canceling regardless. It's unlikely he will be getting better...however, he may get out of the hospital. We've never had to use our trip insurance before so it's useful to know we may need to get forms filled out now by his doctor.

My husband and I are scheduled to leave for a cruise on January 26th (2 1/2 weeks out). My father-in-law has been hospitalized and the status of his condition is precarious. My husband is not comfortable leaving on the trip. Anyone with experience on canceling a trip based on a family member's illness? He may not still be in the hospital on the day we are due to leave. Wondering on the pros/cons of filing a claim now or waiting...I think we have up to 90 days after the start of the trip to file. Thank you.

Thank you. This was booked in 2020, rescheduled to 2021 and now 2022 all due to Covid. We also booked directly with Celebrity.

My husband and I are booked on a 14 day transatlantic cruise in 3 weeks. Our adult son who lives with us is having some medical issues and we really don't feel comfortable leaving the country and him alone right now. We have trip insurance, but the small print says the issue must be life threatening, which it is not. Has anyone recently been able to get a future cruise credit for a cruise that is less than 30 days? Does Celebrity absolutely stick to their cancellation policy? Thank you.

First week of February 2023

We are planning on staying an extra day in Fort Lauderdale after our cruise. Does anyone know of a hotel that allows for early check in if we stay in it pre/post cruise? Thank you.
