I just got off the Equinox a few weeks ago. Elysium was still playing. They also had a really good Paul McCartney tribute. And Ashley Amber singing Whitney Houston was really entertaining.
Great!! I'm excited to check it out!! Thank You! 🙂

Bump! Anyone? Bueller?

Hello Fellow CCers!
We were on the Equinox last year and we are scheduled to be on it again next month (WooHoo!). I was wondering at what frequency they change out the shows.. I know the Equinox is dry docking in May.. so I assume they won't change them but then again you never know. Last year they had Elysium and another show.. anyone know if they've changed them since then or if they're the same?
Thanks!

Never sailed Celebrity but we're wondering if you have the Classic Beverage Package and purchase an $8 beer (the package covers $6) - We've read on a CC thread that you'll have to pay the FULL $8 but when we talked to Celebrity they said you just have to cover the difference $2. Which one is correct?
Thanks in advance! :)

Perfect!! Thanks so much for the responses! :)

Hello Everyone -
I don't want any flack from this, I'm just curious. Our embarkation time is 3:30, is it possible to just show up and get on early? I'm not talking super super early.. maybe like 2:00 'cause thats the time we'll arrive into Miami? Are they that strict about it? The last few cruises I've taken I haven't even noticed a 'time' for embarkation.
Thanks!!!!

We won't be on this weekend but next weekend! Hope you have a wonderful time!!

I'm scheduled on the Escape on May 14th and they said that the Guarantee is USUALLY a week beforehand.. can be a lot longer up to a month before and a lot shorter, up to the day of. It's all in the fun of a guarantee room.. I've gotten my eDocs and once they assign my cabin they'll either update it on the docs or wait until you get there the day of, depending on the time you receive it.

Dang.. that wine list is so different and so small since the last time we cruised.
I wouldn't be surprised if they started offering 'Levels' of UBP like events/catering companies do.. Only Beer, Beer + Wine, Wine + Beer + Spirits.

Great review! We sail in May on the Escape and are very excited for it.. interesting about iconcierge.. hadn't heard of it yet!!

What exactly is Vibe? Like reserved lounge chairs?

Probably not if you've already paid the final amount. But it can't hurt to call...
I was wondering the same thing.. booked mine and now there's an on-board credit available. Blargh. I'm going to call today and see what they can do.

This is poo. A big pile of poo. I love breakfast in room a few mornings of the cruise. Wah Wah.

Thanks, Everyone!

Then, as commonly discussed, all you need is an official birth certificate and a driver's license.
But, if your cruise is more than a month away, send for a new passport.
Thanks CruiserBruce and thanks to everyone else for your help! I just became very nervous that I wasn't going to be able to go!

I am a United States Citizen. :) Closed Loop to and from Ft. Lauderdale.

Hello -
I just realized that my passport has expired. I'm a US Resident, I have a drivers license, will I still be able to Board the ship?
Thanks

I will be on the Zuiderdam for New Year's Eve! Has anyone done one on HAL before? Do they have anything fun that happens or some sort of a schindig on board? I'm looking to wear something fun and sparkly!

I have Verizon and used it in San Juan and St. Thomas. The coverage is HORRIBLE. Barely any usage out of it but I didn't get charged anything for using it in St. Thomas or San Juan. If you find a good cafe or bar they have free wifi which is nice to take advantage of.
I would suggest turning off your data, downloading an offline map - City Guides is a great app. It's a map you can use on your phone even if it's not connected to anything. Use wifi where you can and bring a better camera than your phone if you're looking to take some good pictures.
Hope that helps!

Keep an eye on the big guys - Expedia, Priceline, Travelocity they've got an entire section for last minute deals and they have some incentives with them, usually.

We had one of those insulted bags (for sporting events or boating or whatever) it was a good size and we just put all our soda into it and handed it off with our luggage. It was also a nice little bag to bring off the ship with us to put ice and water in for the beach :)

Too funny you mention this.. DH and I got on our shuttle to the ship in Port Everglades and a group of people made a joke to us like 'Aren't you a little young for HAL?' - We're in our mid twenties, no children and we LOVE IT. We were some of the youngest people on the ship and sure there isn't that much to do late at night but there aren't millions of children running around in packs on the ship. The majority of the guests are nice, keep to themselves and are quiet - it's far more relaxing for us.

DH and I have fallen in love with cruising. Our first cruise was only a couple of years ago and I'm surprised we didn't do it sooner!! DH loves the 'planning' aspect of it - picking out the boat, the price, the stateroom, looking at ports, excursions and being able to enjoy it by having the ship take us to those ports (not driving). We love that it's all inclusive for food and there's always something to do even if it's just laying around our stateroom and watching a movie.

DH and I pretended we didn't speak English and just waltzed off of HAL once.. bags and all! Bahaha.
Apex vs. Edge
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
Hey Friends -
DH and I are trying to decide whether to cruise on the Edge or Apex next year. The stops on both cruises are great.. It just comes down to the difference between the boats. What are the outstanding differences? Did you like one more than the other? TIA!
