We were on the Breakaway out of Civitavecchia just last month. They have a huge sitting area after check in that was cool and comfortable. We boarded about 11:20. We opted for an early check in since there were 4000 guest to check in. It is a very large port and we opted to take a taxi that had clearance to enter the port for about $16. Otherwise you make your way to the entrance of the port and have to wait for a free bus to take you to your cruise ship. We spent 3 days in Civitavecchia before our cruise and really enjoyed our time. Have a wonderful cruise!
