  1. I fell out with P&O in 2012 when they stopped me taking my small travel scooter in a normal cabin. I didn't want to book an accessible cabin as I felt there was so few of them and other people needed them more than me. When I discussed the matter with them they were very off hand and made me feel like a second class citizen. Since then I have cruised with Celebrity, Royal Caribbean & Princess all have been far superior. In less than a week I will be cruising with Celebrity in an accessible cabin, it will be the first time i have used an accessible cabin as my mobility has deteriorated. Until a few weeks ago there were still accessible balcony cabins available, as they have so many more of them and its easy to book one online
  2. The Pride Go Go is the usual one that the rental companies use and I owned one of those for many years and used it on many cruises and it would definitely be suitable for San Juan.
  3. I use a small mobility scooter and got off the ship and managed to get round fine in San Juan. The only problem was looking for drop curbs, but I find that a problem in many places. I was fast tracked back onto the ship as I was checked over by a lovely police dog so I could then bypass security.
  4. Hi. I will be on the Celebrity Beyond next May and we have 2 tender ports. I use a small lightweight travel scooter, has anyone taken a scooter on a tender using the magic carpet?
  5. Thank you all for your replies. I will post on the disabled cruise travel
  6. Hi. I will be on the Beyond next May and we have two tender ports. I use a small travel mobility scooter and usually i can't take that on Celebrity tenders. I was wondering if anyone has taken their scooters ashore on an Edge class ship using the magic carpet.
  7. Thanks all for taking the trouble to reply. I Have now downloaded the Celebrity app and it is showing the Eden Cafe is open at lunch time on first day 😃 🤞 As I have mobility issues I find the big buffet restaurants a big challenge.
  8. Could anyone tell me if there is anywhere open for lunch on embarkation day on the Beyond other than the Oaeanview Cafe Thank you
