Best Wines? - Premium Drink Package
bikerunner replied to CruisinCorey2525's topic in Celebrity Cruises
that was my go to on the TA I did in April on the Silhouette. They were at that time serving it by glass for a 4 dollar up charge from premium. We drank about 10-11 bottles on the TA. I also noticed not soon after they stopped having that wine as a premium glass selection. But I think its 100 for bottle with discount for Elite plus its really not a bad deal. It costs about 50-60 in Nh Liquor stores. -
Never had any issue with the port, just never exciting overall. This will make it much better overall for a stop experience as the water/ocean is great in Costa Maya.

So who is getting ready to book for 2026/27?
bikerunner replied to gordylad's topic in Celebrity Cruises
My TA waited to today as got another 100 off my Aug 29.26 Apex 14 day fjords and Artic Circle cruise. And I am fine with the French/Infinite Verandah. Getting drinks and Wi-Fi, and 300 obc for 8600 in a verandah room/Refundable. Why I book with this TA, considering room only for this cruise if booking with Celebrity is $9176. -
What is a MUST DO Specialty Restaurant?
bikerunner replied to livetravelcruise07's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Im on the other side with Murano now. Last 3 times in it just been fair. Nothing special if anything overly salted on some dishes and had to return. Service yes is great but they definitely need to update the menu in Murano, has barely changed over the last few years, well mostly from the beginning. Have found the MDR and or Aqua just as good and even better on many dishes. yes for steaks the specialty will be better but I get my steaks from a local organic farmer so in general I rarely eat them when going out as the ones on board are no comparison from what i get. -
So who is getting ready to book for 2026/27?
bikerunner replied to gordylad's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We thought of that, but this won out overall. Other reason, my Travel mate has always wanted to order a Volvo and pick it up in Sweden, working with the Volvo Concierge. So will work It so before hand she can go pick up her car, we drive it around Sweden etc for a week or so, they pay for 2 weeks European insurance and will fly us over there. then get to Southhampton while they ship her car to Tx hoping that Volvo then will do the return trip from England. -

Just booked Aug 29, 2026 14 day on Apex. Norwegian Fjords and Arctic Circle Ta rate was 2 good to not pass. . Next year nothing booked with Celebrity but have AMA, Oceanna, and an All Inclusive booked. -
Similar to what they call a French balcony. Overall very divisive with all, either hate or enjoyed it seems. I like the extra space in the room they give.

Its go anytime, just a quirk with the Edge class ships that they still give fixed dining times. If you find one of the restaurants you like best/ambiance/waitstaff etc, you can just ask for the other menus as you can get any the specialties from each restaurant at any of the 4 mdr's. The main portion of the menus are the same for each different MDR but they each serve a speciality that does not change.

Inquiry on Fine Cut on the Edge Ships-Vegetarian Options
bikerunner replied to bikerunner's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Always have every cruise I have traveled with her. We were looking for first night overall. So thats the main issue, when have gone to others we usually let them know 1-2 days ahead and never a problem. My travel mate already signed up for the Plant Base tasting menu in Eden. We both do not see the value in paying 55 plus grat or whatever it is, for salads and side dishes. Not super concerned, can ask and see another night and just use my CC discount, if we decide it's worth it. -
Celebrity's IT Dept - Working hard to make your life miserable
bikerunner replied to TheHawk1's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I would hope the 3 digit code is never saved on file. But it's your choice not to book not IT issue. -
I do this all the time, I start adding into the conversation, had one person who actually told me this was a private conversation, I just answered for all to hear and reply as everyone can hear it, most others got up and went elsewhere giving me dirty looks, I just look at them blankly. This is something I do not tolerate at all well, I have even started singing, when this happened one time during the day at the martini bar. Like many said many people just do not understand how their actions affect others overall and have absolutely no common sense or respect.

Looked at the menu, does anyone know if anything or can get a vegetarian option besides the 3 salads. Maybe the Barley Bourguignon Risotto, in itself could be made with Beef/Chicken Stock. Just asking as my travel partner is a vegetarian and was looking at maybe trying it first night. Probably will just pop in when get onboard and inquire also but seeing if anyone has any experience with it And very well aware this is there Steak house.

Definitely recommend Azamara. Hits unique ports, food I think is better than Celebrity. Yes the ships are smaller, and entertainment is less but I found the service better and much more relaxing overall.

Thoughts on Silhouette if in a standard cabin?
bikerunner replied to TGfromTX's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I do not sail in suites, and really do not see the need for myself in how I look at cruising. All the Celebrity ship classes are unique and great in their own ways. I love the Silhouette which is an S class but the M class also is a fav, Constellation stands out to me. The Silhouette is great in that it has been fully refurbished. The Constellation has not and only the public areas have been, the rooms are dated but comfortable clean. The main difference with the suites is that they do have extra perks, per se, private lounge, the refurbished ships have the private pool area and all offer Lumanae. The MDR has improved tremendously since the huge swatch of cutbacks they did last year. You would have a great experience in a standard room. Service standards I have seen on my last few, or I experienced have all been incredible. Dont be afraid to ask for something if you need it. The biggest difference in M vs S class ships is the S class has additional specialty dining options, and the layout of the ship is a bit better I think. M class are just enjoyable to me, and would take a cruise on any of them if the itinerary is right overall. -
They are all very close overall and glad I had someone that knew about them.
-
And these you tube videos are from individuals not Celebrity it self. Why I never pay attention to many of those videos as its there opinion and many give wrong information overall.

Ended up with AMA River Cruises. Our TA knows what we like and what we were looking for. I think we were on a call with her for over 1.5 hours discussing the different ones. We discussed all from Emerald, Viking etc. She knows food, and service are my top priorities. My travel partner is like that also but is a vegetarian so wanted to make sure they were flexible. What sold me finally was this on AMA La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs. I researched a lot of them but there was such slight differences in them. My TA has traveled on a few of the river cruises so first hand knowledge. Its a bucket list trip overall, Christmas Markets.in Europe.

Book with drink package now or buy it separately?
bikerunner replied to marymount's topic in Celebrity Cruises
It’s doing the math overall. Adding the package in when purchasing the cruise overall is the better savings. I would also look to see if you can find a travel agent, not big box, that offers the cruise. All my cruises I book this way and my room plus Bev and WiFi are most, all of the time cheaper than the room only rate with celebrity. Ta can offer a great discounted rate that includes WiFi drink pkg and sometimes extra obc. If purchase separately the cruise planner will have the option of upgrading to premium. It usually takes about a week or less for it to show up after booking. But flash sales happen where the upgrade can be a great deal -
Not any issues made dinner and muted as was not interested after the main thing seemed to be the presidents cruise. No interest or fomo for that at all.
-
I would say yes to this, the pricing definitely has changed over the years. I remember when I could get great deals on the islands and onboard. Now I go to the liquor stores in NH, state owned, and the prices are just about the same overall.
-
Disagree, I have gotten great rates on 7 day cruises, I usually sail Concierge mainly. Sometimes Verandah, depends on pricing. It mainly comes down to room I want and where available, category wise. I have never booked a suite, as its not needed or don't require it at this point.
-
So update on this, the rate for Concierge thru TA 3693.52 vs Celebrity 6429.08. As many have mentioned have to look. This is definitely group rates and in no way would I ever even have to watch rates because Celebrity would never beat the price, never seen it in all the cruises booked thru them. Also as others mentioned, mine travels alot, they do many cruises and land based adventures and they steer me in the right direction. They were a tremendous help in figuring out our Christmas Market River Cruise in 2025. so many River Cruise companies and the differention was crazy. In truth I do initial research on what I want then reach out to them for pricing. We will probably not be able to do this one as something called work gets in my way.
-
Reason I use a TA. I inquired about a 14 day TA on the Equinox yesterday that leaves 4.19.25 I got pricing for 2 room types.....Reg Balcony will be getting concierge today Pricing is for Classic Drink and Wifi......The TA is also giving 100 obc Rate is for dbl occupancy refundable deposti TA Celebrity Reg Balcony 3312.52 5080.08 Aqua 5315.52 7750.08 Never any issues with the TA, easily reachable, and these rates are cheaper than the room only for this cruise. It is not a big box one, Yes like above what Jeremiah said, does take some work at times finding one that works for you.

Constellation over Thanksgiving and Elite options?
bikerunner replied to chrismch's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Been on a bunch of thanksgiving cruises on celebrity. Tho never docked. Usual on the ones I been on is it’s down in OVC for lunch time. They might have had some choice at dinner also. -
Used Uber/Lyft the last 3 cruises out of there. Never any issue
