  1. OK, Finally caught up. I was looking forward to another Jamman review and this one is even better as it is with the Spirit. We will be on her March 11th!
  2. We will be on the Spirit in early March. Looking forward to your reviews! Will you be doing a separate post for this S2S or adding it to this one? Never mind! Should have read further you've already answered the question!
  3. Im Looking forward to this review and yours Jamman!! We are on the Spirit in March. Cant wait!
  4. We dont generally buy the package. I drink more than my wife, and on a past NCL cruise the package was included. I found that we wouldnt have broken even. The other included beverages cant really be included in your price decision unless you normally drink them. If you dont have the package, you wouldnt be spending money on the water, coffees and shakes.
  5. My favorite so far has been the Fascination out of Puerto Rico. Went to St Thomas, Barbados, St Lucia, St Kitts and St Maarten. I would do that again if it ever comes available again. At that time there was an added port for one of the sailings around Christmas stopping at St Croix. I have an NCL cruise booked in 2024 which is similar with a couple of different ports which are new to us as well. Looking forward to that!
  6. The setup for the claw machines is right online. Its set by the casino to allow someone to win or not
  7. Out of curiosity, what app or site is this you are using?
  8. Personally Id rather have cruise lines remove the testing requirement. Thats seemed to be the most stressful thing in post-pandemic cruising. Get down to 2-3 days before your cruise, ready to fly to port for many, and hope the test is negative.
  9. That seems to make the most sense too so everyone is on the same page in port.
  10. Will the attestation be part of the Health Assessment possibly? On my planner list for our March cruise it says that will be available March 8
  11. Exactly our thoughts (along with Kmom's)
  12. We did an interior once, the cost was nice but my wife hated it, so back to balcony we go. I dont think it would be a deal breaker for us though. That being said, if after our '23 and '24 cruises masks and testing etc are still in place, that will be our deal breaker. I dont mind people that "want" to do such things but mandatory just puts a dent in it for us. We havent even cruise post pandemic yet and the "test stress" is already there. If things arent back to normal, we will move on to AI's.
  13. I posted earlier on this. Ours is March 23 and doing the same thing. I think as others have said it may just be too far out even though CCL says within 48 hours of booking.
  14. At the risk of being called out like the person above, Ive never had to change on a Caribbean cruise for CCL, but did on NCL. It actually made it alot easier when we were in Grand Cayman as our tour guide kept using HIS local time and we had to adjust based on CCL's ship time and keep reminding him of the difference when we would talk about what time it was.
  15. I was thinking that too but it says it has to be done withing 48 hours of booking!
  16. Our current cruise booked for March 2023, is a rebook of a rebook etc etc from the Covid cancellations. On a past booking of this cruise, we did the vaccine attestation as required. My PVP is saying that we still have to do it for this one, and the verifly app says we need to do it for this one (though it causes an error when I try). There is NO place on the Carnival website on our booking to do this. I dont want something to happen if its not done, so anyone have any suggestions? Would our original attestation have carried thru to this booking?
  17. That was our experience too when we got it back in January. I had a mild sore throat 2 mornings and then a runny nose, not even stuffed up, just watery. Other than not being allowed at work, I felt and did my normal stuff around the house.
  18. I have two cruises scheduled, one in 23 and one in 24 and those are ones that had credits to be used up post covid. Once those are in the books, we have decided not to book any more cruises until things are back to "normal". We will do AI's instead. Will miss cruising but it is what it is.
  19. I apologize if its been mentioned as I didnt want to read 5 pages about bacon. But CCL has been rationing bacon since well before Covid was a thing. I was kind of surprised on our first CCL cruise when I had to ask for bacon from someone standing there with a bin of it away from the actual buffet, and then they gave me 2 strips (my body really doesnt need more than that!). The only time I eat breakfast and indulge on bacon is when on vacation so yeah, this kind of sucks but it isnt a deal breaker. NCL has always had mounds of bacon at the buffet but I havent been on them since Covid so that may have changed too.
  20. The drink package doesnt only cost $20/day, that is the gratuities or service charges per day you are paying if you take their perks offer. If you were to drop the perks and get the Sail Away, your actual fare would be lower. As you know, nothing in life is truly free, NCL is charging you for all those perks, its just included in your fare. That being said, we just take the perks and dont look back. I like not having to worry about my drink bill etc. I look at the fare as it is, and dont compare it to what it would be without the perks.
  21. I think your idea would work for any of the "rules", at port, on ships etc. but unless everyone does it, it has no effect. ALL the lines would have to boycott, just as ALL the pax would have to boycott something like the vax and testing requirements for anything to effect change. As long as there are people willing (and as we see, right now everyone seems willing) to jump thru the hoops, the hoops will remain and none of the lines have any reason to fight to change them.
  22. On our first cruise back in 2014 we sailed under the Skyway. Cool experience! Looked like there was no way we werent going to scrape but sailed right thru!
  23. As others have said, instead of booking thru NCL, why not book a private excursion for the port(s)? We have only been on 4 cruises so not terribly experienced but out of those 4 have only taken 1 cruise line excursion and that is because the exact same private one was booked up. You get more for your money on a private excursion anyway.
