Hello
Did you ever find out?
We want to try JVD but nothing with cruise line
thank you 😊
On 10/30/2022 at 1:49 AM, Alatraveler1 said:On a past NCL cruise we caught a catamaran directly from the cruise ship dock to Jost to spend the day on White Bay. We are looking for the same in spring 2023. We don't need snorkeling, a trip to the baths, bbq or anything but a basic "ferry service" there and back which will depart the cruise pier around 830-930 am and come back after 3 pm. We would rather avoid the taxi to West End and then ferry, then after arrival on Jost taxi to White Bay but want the same as before a direct trip from point A to B. Any ideas? Ship excursions either have inclusions we don't want or include taxis on both ends and a limited 4 hours or so of actual "beach time" in White Bay. A shared trip is of course ok since we just want basic transportation there and back. Thanks for any info CC friends!

Hello
Sailed from Southampton on various cruise lines but never NCL from Southampton. Someone we know who lives in America is asking about hotels by where they board.
We used Holiday Inn for RC and know Princess is a lot further down.
Where is NCL please. Also any suggestions of hotels you have used and enjoyed. Thought would give variation. They won’t have a car.
Thank you 😊 -

It is a double edged sword for MSC because this is going to give those that tried them on a whim a second guess about booking on them in the future if the ship redeployments continue, but at the same time they need to move assets to where they will produce revenue.
This would be our first MSc and trying for the YC but not feeling excited
my head is saying cancel but my heart is saying YC 😂

MSC will only price match to the cruise they offered in the email. That was stated to me by a sup in the call center. I called in for an issue with another cancelled cruise (out of Miami) and they wanted to send me out of Port Canaveral. I booked Miami for a reason...much easier to get to the port, and I vastly prefer the Miami airport than MCO. I ended up cancelling entirely.
the thing is they are offering a much older ship instead of matching to europa against Euribia which are both new that does not seem fairI think we might have try YC seaview or grandiosa instead

They did not respond to my request to move the reservation to World Europa 1 day earlier and the same port at the same pricing.
I do have a back-up reservation on World Europa, but the price is roughly $400 higher.
we are the same we have to decide and the Europa is 200pp each more. I think they should allow a straight swap that is what another cruise line did for us in the past -

Just got my new cabin assignment. I had booked an unobstructed BL1 midship balcony on Euribia. They assigned me a BL1 "unobstructed" balcony in the front of Fantasia. Not thrilled with the cabin assignment, as it's one of those with the steel balcony and steel surroundings in the front of the ship.
So they automatically changed you from Euribia to Fantasiabut you have booked Europa and asked them to price match the Euribia price? Have they come back 🙂

So are drinks & food included on the island?
Most private islands are on other lines but we were surprised at Great Stirrup Cay on NCL that they weren't.
I am on a 7 day that includes a stop at Ocean Cay. I am considering adding a 5 day cruise immediately prior as the price is so great with the current promo plus no solo supplement.
3 days total at Ocean Cay over 12 days seems excessive, but I've been known to stay on the ship on port days too so no worries.
1st time on MSC...looking forward to it!
Hello 👋
We had food and drink at great stirrup but not at harvest caye 🙂

Another factor is the sameness of many of MSC's newer ships. As an example, I've been on Bellissima, Seaside, Grandiosa and very soon on Virtuosa. All beautiful ships in their own right, but all very similar too.
One thing I like about Europa is that it will be a radically different design with a different vibe to it. It's nice to mix things up every now and then so one doesn't feel as if they are cruising on the same ship over and over again.
Totally get it 🙂in my case my first MSC cruise
I do find it strange why cruise lines being up new ships that are exactly the same as others like RC.

In short, they did not reply to my e-mail request.
What will you do?
I still even had an email confirming the changes

Going from a brand new ship not yet built to one of the oldest. Not thrilled. There is a newer ship (World Europa) that leaves from the same port one day earlier. I called MSC to see if I could move to that ship at the same price, which seemed reasonable as they're both new ships, same departure port, same duration and only one day apart, but they said I'd have to e-mail MSC, as they had no power to make that change.

I just checked my online booking for October 23, 2023 and they updated my ship from the Euriba to the Fantasia. It would have been nice if they had emailed me and let me know! There is no increase on my OBC, so not sure if I will get one or not. I will likely end up cancelling anyways, and rebooking with a ship of my choosing. I am starting to understand why there are so many comments about the MSC customer service.

I would call the prices crazy low, but that is my personal opinion, others may disagree.
Some of the Virtousa have been amazing 🙂

Also any idea where Virtousa is going?

Memo to myself, there will be incredible good offers for the Euribia in winter 23/24 😄
But as far as I know there is almost no difference between the Euribia and the Virtuosa/Grandiosa.Why good offers because of the weather or because virtousa has had some brilliant deals? 🙂
Do I do Europa from the Med or Euribia from Southampton
-
Hello
Has anyone managed to find out where Euribia is going now please
-
Not much info but gives a hint in case of use

Fantastica is a nice ship. As it is your first MSC cruise it is not a big thing which ship. I would just take the $100 and ignore all the trouble.
We booked it because it was new and in the Med. 🙂 We will just cancel if need to. I wonder where Euribia will go now
-
It is cancelled 😡 no email but been checking my booking and changed to fantasia
MSC is the worst cruise line I have used. This is our first cruise but nothing but issues. Really gutted. Sorry if that sounds pathetic 😢
-
Well I rang MSC this morning and she went off and came back and said nope not cancelled. I read out the email someone received sane date ship and port as me but nope not cancelled b
guess what no email or call but just checked my booking and fantasia 😢
-
It is.nuts I rang MSc they went and checked and said not cancelled!!!

The price on the ship that leaves one day earlier is at least 50% to 75% higher. This, despite the fact that they are both new ships, both leave from the same port and the sailing is only 1 day apart.
I contacted MSC with a request to honor current pricing but move me to the sailing one day earlier, as I consider that a lateral move (new ship to new ship) whereas a move to Fantasia is a move down versus what I had booked.
have they come back yet?
which cabin have you got at present? 🙂 -
Can I ask for regular MSC cruisers if they cancel do they not allow you to move to another cruise ship same date within day/same ports for same price?

In MSC language " "This cruise is fully booked" usually means "This cruise is cancelled".
But don´t worry, in that cases always check first the ITALIAN website https://www.msccrociere.it/
All kinds of changes can be found here first and it is the best source for availability. And there you will find all kinds of cabins available for booking including YC.
It is still showing as available for Dec 30 but someone said cancelled. Used the above website ?

We have flown to Hawaii a few times but now looking at flying to Sydney for a cruise.
We are lucky as have time before and after (finishing Hawaii) the cruise
Just wondering how you fly to Sydney with a stop (cannot face straight through)
Which route do you fly?
Wondering whether to fly return to Hawaii then single flight to Sydney
I genuinely have no idea 🤷♀️ 😂
