  1. Unfortunately I do not have the menus. Just been going through our photos/videos. Really loved this cruise. Have a great time!
  2. I felt he was good but not best I've seen. But given it was his first week on ship/itinerary, ships first week on itinerary for season and singers/dancers rolling off at the end of our cruise I think he had a few things to work around.
  3. Carlos Torres started the week we were on the ship.
  4. Loved our Solstice aft corner sky suite for Alaska a few weeks ago, 9374. Had the option to have sky suite on deck 12 but knew we would enjoy the aft corner suite much more. I have been in aft corner suite on Disney Wonder once before and in port side sky suite on Reflection. This sky suite was very quiet. There was an ante room so no noise from hallway. And very little noise from other decks or cabins as well. It has a great set up with plenty of room, drawers, etc. Doesn't hurt that we burned off a few more calories walking to and from back of ship. Views were amazing from the balcony. Had some cruise critic roll call friends over for our departure from Ketchikan. Plenty of room for all of us on balcony and/or in room. Butler provided cheese tray and shrimp tray for us. And then just had to roll out of bed to enjoy our Tracy Arm cruising starting around 6 AM the next morning. Booked another cruise in March 2021 in same cabin.
  5. yes. sky suite. but Celebrity also has concierge cabins that i don't think are included in Michael's or Luminae.
  6. I get confused between cruise lines. But I think Michael's is for suites.
  7. I was on the first cruise of the Alaska season on the Solstice, May 10-17, 2019. I plan on doing a more in depth review but below is quick synopsis I threw together for someone looking for the daily planners which I have posted as well. Didn't really take notice of shape of ship. Did see some carpet patches. But my recent cruises have mainly been on Disney Wonder which is an "older" ship that does have things catch my attention. Did notice that staff everywhere were quick to say "hello", "good morning", good evening", etc. Think I read that earlier some reviews had stated staff was not friendly. They are definitely working on that! Most telling about my experience is that I booked another cruise in March 2021 on Solstice in same cabin. "Quick synopsis: We were in corner aft balcony cabin, 9374. Cabin great. Cabin services outstanding. Suite dining great. Micheal's Lounge so so (one example: VERY crude fellow passengers and bar staff joking around in front of me and my 19 yo daughter.) Shows pretty good (we are spoiled by Disney and RCI Broadway style shows.) Sky Lounge Bar bad (inconsistent drinks of what seemed poor quality and had trouble figuring out what some actually were since it wasn't what was ordered.) Basically was not impressed with bar service anywhere. Wine was consistent though 🤣. Celebrity Life was fun (we had an amazing cruise critic group that met up for most of the trivia competitions. We even won glass cases 😂.) We had amazing weather and you can't mess up the views and beauty of Alaska even if we had experienced bad weather. Overall was outstanding vacation. "
  8. Yes. That was the major adjustment they made that impacted my daughter and I. We had reservations at Sushi on 5 at 6:30 PM or around then that night. Figured out on our own that day that they had adjusted the dinner start time there to 8 PM that night. The main dining room(s) where open regular hours. We just went to lunch there instead. I would think they have those scheduling kinks worked out by now.
  9. Here are the daily planners for our recent Alaska cruise on the Celebrity Solstice. Word of caution though. We were the first Alaska cruise of the season for Solstice and several schedule changes took place during the week including restaurant hours, etc. The basics seemed to be all correct but I imagine there continues to be changes as they adjust to Alaska itinerary. Review and more pictures to follow in a week or so.
