  1. Thanks for reading! So close. We'll be on the Celebration in January, and the Vista in April. One of these days! 😁
  2. Have a great cruise! Please tell Zora at the Amari Bar that Jeff and Patti said hello! 😎
  3. We highly recommend the New England and Canada cruises. We have done many. All the major lines go there from New York in the fall.
  4. This is the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, and is well worth a visit. They have a Titanic Exhibit that includes artifacts, and an exhibit detailing the Halifax explosion of 1917….. Now that looks like fun….. These buildings weren’t here four years ago….. This used to be Murphy’s Restaurant. Insert sad face here….. To be continued…..
  5. We continue along the Harbourwalk….. Ah, beer! Lots and lots of beer!!!! Here are a couple of ships you can tour. The first is the HMCS Sackville….. This is the CSS Acadia….. This sculpture is called “The Wave”. Our boys used to play on this when they were little, and on the adjacent playground which has been upgraded over the years….. To be continued…..
  6. We continue along the Harbourwalk….. There are those Beavertails again! To be continued…..
  7. Mein Schiff 6 is docked in front of the Venezia….. Looking over at Georges Island….. We are now walking along the Harbourwalk….. To be continued…..
  8. We are docking in Halifax. Captain Crescenzo got us here a half hour early! Today our plan is to walk the Harbourwalk. Last year when we were here we did a city tour so we didn’t have the time. The last time we did the Harbourwalk was before Covid, so I’m sure some things have changed. We waited an hour for the mad rush to decline before heading off the ship at 2pm. Here are some views as we made our way to the Harbourwalk. We are docked at Pier 21….. This was my Husband Daycare last year….. Samuel Cunard….. A few more sculptures….. Canadian Navy Memorial….. To be continued……
  9. I've had better at a Stewarts Root Beer Stand, but it's nice to have something different.
  10. Patti is on the move again. She stops briefly at our cabin where she finds today’s towel animal….. Patti heads down to Deck 4. AJ is playing cocktail tunes in the Piazza San Marco….. Patti checks out the Military Appreciation Gathering hosted by Joey….. Back outside, Patti sees we are approaching Halifax….. We decide to have Guys Burgers for lunch….. Patti had a Ringer, but I had to try the Pizzaburgers…. To be continued…..
  11. Groove for St. Jude is about to begin. DJ Six will be spinning the tunes….. The line is very long for donations….. It’s time to Groove for St. Jude….. To be continued…..
  12. Cruise Director Joey reads Horton hears a Who……. Our friends Kathy, Rich, Janice, and Charlie are enjoying the show….. Patti meets me at RoCoco as we wait for Groove for St. Jude to start….. This is where the towel animals go to die. Sad….. To be continued……
  13. Patti heads down to the Gondola Lounge on Deck 5 where the Seuss-A-Palooza parade is about to begin led by Cruise Director Joey….. They reach the Teatro Rosso where it will be story time….. To be continued……
  14. I head back to the cabin to enjoy my coffee, and will use this time to work on the pictures for the review. Patti is getting our laundry together to send out. There are a lot of things happening this morning before we get to Halifax, so at 9:30 Patti grabs the camera and heads out. I tell her that I will meet her at RoCoco later. She passes by the mid ship pool area which has now been decorated for the Festa Italiana later tonight…… Patti heads aft on Deck 11 to check out Camp Ocean and Dr. Seuss Bookville….. To be continued……
  15. Day # 5 - 9/27/23 - Halifax, NS (1:30pm – 8pm). We are up at 7am to a partly cloudy, chilly, 44 degree day. We are not scheduled to arrive at Halifax until 1:30pm. Looking at the bow camera, it appears that the seas are fairly calm….. Here are today’s Fun Times……. Switching to the aft camera which shows the mid ship pool on Lido Deck, we can see that the towel animals are out in force….. Since I’m going up to the Java Blue Café for my morning coffee anyway, I grab the camera and head up to document the scene….. To be continued…..
  16. Thanks for reading and your kind words. You picked a great ship for your first Carnival cruise. We hope you enjoy your cruise.
  17. Thank you so much for taking the time to post this. It's posts like these that make it all worthwhile. Though it is very time consuming, It is a way to relive the whole cruise and share photos, information, and details with our Cruise Critic family. Because of our reviews, we have gotten to meet so many CC members while on board the various ships, and have become close friends with many of them. We met even more after we transitioned to the Journeys part of the cruise, and they were all so happy to become part of the review. Bottom line is, we enjoy doing these reviews and will continue to do so!
  18. The Ropes Course and Sports Square aren’t busy at all….. There’s some Pickleball action going on….. At this point we both made our way back to the cabin to relax and nap until sail away. When we did sail away at 7:45pm it was already dark outside, so nothing really to take pictures of. After our late lunch we weren’t really hungry for a full meal, so we went to the Lido Marketplace again for something light. Patti made herself a salad, and saw that they had jambalaya, so she brought me a bowl…… I went to the deli for a grilled ham and cheese and some fries….. Afterwards, Patti was tired from all the walking she did today, so she decided to head back to the cabin and read. I went down to the Lobby Bar and had some double Bacardi and Pepsi’s until it was time for Family Feud: After Hours. I got a seat back by the bar. You’re not allowed to take pictures during the show, so I took a couple of pre-show pictures before putting the camera away….. The show was hilarious. Don’t miss it if your ship offers it. I went back to the Lobby Bar for a few more drinks until the doors opened for the Late Night Comedy Showcase in the Teatro Rosso. Tonight we will have two new comedians….. Comedy Club Host Mathew (with one “T”) gets it started…. First up is JeROME. He was very good…… Carl Faulkenberry was next. He was excellent! Afterwards, it was back to the cabin for the night. Coming up next: Our return to Halifax and the Harbourwalk!
  19. Back at the cabin Patti finds today’s towel animal….. Patti heads right back out and makes her way up onto the open decks. She passes Guys Burgers which is pretty busy….. Pizzeria del Capitano is cranking out the pizza pies….. Patti has a quick drink with me and then moves on. Here is the Burano Pool and hot tubs. Remember, it’s only a chilly 58 degrees out here….. Patti looks down at the Terrazza area….. Patti heads up to Deck 12 to get some final views of the port area….. To be continued…….
