  1. Just home today from the 12 night British Isles cruise on Celebrity. We did HOHO in Liverpool(wonderful), Dublin (wonderful), Paris (good, but pricey) and Greenock. We had an afternoon excursion to Stirling castle, so we took this bus in the morning. We paid the family ticket price and added a child to it, since we have 3 kids, it took off and went through a few abandoned shipyards and then got on what I would describe a highway and reached about 45 miles an hour, so we ventured down stairs and then we were told about sights that were not visible. After 35 minutes we had the feeling that we were not going to see anything and we finally got back to somewhere that was not abandoned. There were older people on the bus asking the driver when we were going to see some sights or get to a sight that they could hop off and that's when it stopped at the city bus stop that was about a five minute walk to a mall, the guide announced if you want to go shopping get off here and pointed in the vicinity of a mall, and said shopping is up that way. We carry a GPS so we navigated ourselves and walked the 20 minutes back to the ship. Unfortunately we were really disappointed in this bus. I should have followed my gut when we were told that there were no maps for the bus,as I have never been on one that doesn't give a map. I'm not sure what route the bus took after that stop but all of the people except two left the bus rather quickly.

  2. I find it at CVS, Walgreens or target. Its ingredients are glucose(sugar),dextrose (sugar)and sodium citrate dehydrate (an antacid). Adult dose is 2-4 tablets, I only take one or two at most, kids were fine with one tablet. there's nothing strong in it that will affect them unless they are diabetic. It's a sweet anti nausea, antacid. It's really for upset stomachs, but I find it works miracles for motion sickness. There's no strong meds in it, of course ask your Dr. about it, if you have any reservations. Hubby and I are dentists, the sugar in it makes me cringe, but it works. Just brush teeth before bed!

  3. Two of my children and I use Nauzene chewables. I've tried the sea bands and no luck, but the last three cruises used Nauzene and had no sickness at all. I'm a lightweight when it comes to car and sea sickness, so I was impressed with an over the counter remedy. I think it may be a trial and error to see what your body accepts and rejects.

  4. We too are a cruising family, kids are 12,9,7. We went to Alaska and had one balcony room. We used the balcony quite a bit and enjoyed being outside to enjoy the view (in our pajamas). The space is tight, but that was a Disney cruise and the kids were not in the room at all except for sleeping and dressing. I do prefer to have two bathrooms, but if it's a choice between balcony and bathroom for Alaska, I pick balcony.

  5. We are also a family of rule followers! We have not been on Celebrity yet, have one booked for June though. Concerning the kids clubs I let the kids dress more casual, they usually wear athletic type shorts or khaki shorts, usually with a nice t-shirt or polo. Sometimes they get a little messy during kids club depending on the activity, so I wouldn't send them in button ups or pressed pants, I save that for the dining room. Most all of the kids in kids club are pretty casual from our experience, we have taken the kids on Holland America, Disney, And Princess. Hope that helps.
