  1. In case you missed it, here's my article from the webinar: https://www.cruisecritic.com/news/5596/
  2. Here's our story: https://www.cruisecritic.com/news/5584/ We are waiting to hear if Croisi intends to change any protocols because of this.
  3. Hi all - Wanted to let you know that we followed up with MSC on this. Here's what they told us: "This is indeed another proof that our protocol is working effectively. This crew member was never in touch with any crew, guest or anyone else for that matter, as she tested positive at the end of her 14-day isolation period that all crew go through before - if they test negative at the PCR test - they join the rest of the crew. As a reminder, this is the third test. Prior to this, every crew member goes through an initial test before leaving their country of origin and travel by charter with other fellow crew members to the embarkation port. There, all crew go through a second test then go into 14-day isolation prior to the third test. Each of the three tests must be negative for the crew member to move to the next phase of screening."
  4. So far, so good. We are also interested in hearing from anyone on the cruise, as to how it's going! Hopefully after it is done.
  5. Nice session. Here's our write-up from it: https://www.cruisecritic.com/news/5571/
  6. Markus and jaapstam -- If you have time, please create a thread and tell others about your experience once you are onboard. We are all excited to hear!
  7. We have another story from this sailing to post. We’ve been in touch with two passengers on this sailing and were able to get permission to use their photos. Enjoy! https://www.cruisecritic.com/articles.cfm?ID=5541&cache=reset
  8. Updated: the PCR tests came back negative for the guests in Naples. While they were offered the option to join the ship in Palermo, they decided to move their cruise to the following week.
  9. Hi all. We've been following this. A bit about passengers being denied boarding who went off on their own for a shore excursion, as well as those who had positive antigen tests (and were also held back for further testing): https://www.cruisecritic.com/news/5540/
  10. The line confirmed to us that the passenger was a 22-year-old asymptomatic American. Here's our article: https://www.cruisecritic.com/news/5502/. The PG section is after the info on Hurtigruten.
  11. Here's our story on Royal Caribbean's Muster.20.
  12. Of course Cruise Critic covered as well: https://www.cruisecritic.com/news/5480/
  13. Absolutely no kids on our Thanksgiving cruise on SeaDream II last year. In fact, barely any people at all! It was so pleasant that we booked SeaDream I for this Thanksgiving, although who knows.....
  14. Hi all - I'm currently working on a story for Cruise Critic about the private and charter air programs that the different luxury cruise lines have -- and whether these will become more popular in the post-COVID-19 world. Would you be more likely to splurge on private or charter air, once cruising resumes? Let me know your thoughts.
  15. Wanted to update everyone here with our article. The economist said that it was an assumption for their model, and not a government policy. Also statement from NCL: https://www.cruisecritic.com/news/5371/
