  1. So we just booked this cruise - during spring break for school - it will be nice to take a short trip just me and my wife
  2. Agree, Solo Sups can be outrageously expensive. My preferred CL often has a large selection at +25% which is more bearable, but still a nasty extra IMHO. Agree on the coach thing. I'd hate all the unpacking stuff - but worse is that I just dont like coaches. Ships I love, especially in rough (but not too rough!) seas. Something relaxing about watching swells - unless you need to tender of course! Have now had 6 cruises cancelled for Covid. The first of those was meant to sail in August last year and ended at Tower Bridge - paid in Full in May 2018.... I used the credit
  3. Going on the first sneak a peek with my daughter. Is anyone joining?
  4. Hopefully the third time's the charm... After being cancelled on twice now, I decided to book far out enough that this thing is actually going to happen. Too bad it's almost a year away. I was previously booked for May 17th 202, which was called off on March 13th 2020... I re-booked for September on a back to back, which was also cancelled... I've been following the process all the way from the beginning, and I just can't wait until the day finally comes to step on board...
  5. I am really looking forward to this cruise! I figured by waiting a year I should be safe from cancellations. I have a feeling we might be one of the first to go out. Some of the other cruise lines, like Cunard, have already decided to hold off cruises through March 2021.
  6. Hello All... This cruise is for 50th birthday (Aug. 23)! We have cruised on Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean. We have an RC cruise in March for my wife's birthday and have already booked another NCL for NEXT March! Lol Hope to hear from more Shipmates as the time gets closer! Chris & Michelle
  7. I just an email that this cruise has been cancelled. Scarlet Lady had been scheduled to sail its first “sneak-a-peek” voyage with paying passengers out of Miami on March 26, just two weeks from today. All sailings scheduled through early August have been canceled.
  8. Sailing on 5/3 as well! Was lucky enough to tour the stateroom mock-ups at a visit to VV hQ earlier this month and was also invited to their naming ceremony & sleepover in March before our sailing! This will be just about or 30th cruise overall - have sailed DCL, NCL, RCCL, MSC and a little known, short 2 nighter, BPCL. Loved them all with the exception of MSC (Seaside) and though they keep inviting us back, can't see ourselves sailing with them (horrible service) again.
  9. I just posted on the VV board about this but I just got a call from VV about a "sneak a peek" sailing that they are offering from March 29-April 1. They are offering it to inaugural cruise people for 40% off. My price (we are in a central sea terrace) is $1560 for the two of us. I feel like this steals the thunder of the inaugural cruise. We have paid a pretty hefty premium to be on the inaugural cruise and now they have put a cruise ahead of us. I'm probably going to book it but it just doesn't sit right with me.
