  1. Howdy cruisers, we've booked a cruise on Millennium and I'm interested to know which of the stops on the itinerary the ship docks at and which are tender ports and also how far the port may be from the listed destination. is this sort of info readily available somewhere or can anyone who has sailed on Millennium to the following ports let me know? Thanks in advance Kota Kinabalu Malaysia Boracay Philippines Manila Philippines Hong Kong Nha Trang Vietnam Ho Chi Minh Vietnam (it says Phu My which I understand is about 2.5hrs from HCM)
  2. Might not get a response to this, as it’s to new, but here goes. On the millenium, they added 7 new ocean view rooms to deck 3 in January of this year. Rooms 3115 to 3127. Would anyone know the size of the windows in these staterooms ?
  3. I am looking forward to our cruise from Hong Kong in March and was hoping that someone who is travelling aboard Millennium at the moment can tell me if kettles are provided in all cabins. As a Brit, I love my early morning cup of tea made with freshly boiled water and I bring my own tea bags and coffee pouches. I know that the majority of ships that sail from the UK have kettles in the cabins and believe the same is true for many ships sailing in Asia. I was successfully able to request a kettle when we sailed on Constellation 2 years ago so hope to have the same opportunity this time.
  4. I appreciate this is a difficult request but I have an FV grade cabin booked and would love to see any picture from these cabins after revolution They're a bit of an odd shape so would be interesting to know what they have done. At one point there was talk of these becoming S1's but this doesn't appear to be the case Any help appreciated
  5. Are there any inside rooms that are more than 170 sq. ft.? Thanks in advance for your help.
  6. So, it seems that the cabin we chose on Millennium (7027) has been switched from a 4 person capacity to 3 person capacity and the sofa bed removed. We chose this cabin so our 10 year old can sleep on a sofa bed, as she is a restless sleeper and the thoughts of her on an upper berth gives me the heebie jeebies. I'm in the UK, but I'm hoping Celebrity may change our cabin if we ask nicely enough. Thoughts on this and any experience of dealing with Celebrity on similar issues are appreciated. KW.
  7. First impressions are great. Lots of nicely done areas. I love the dining room and Ocean View. But first cabins. I think they wasted their money on Kelly Hoppen. The cabins look very clean but bland. Nice new beds and bedding. Plenty of drawer space but the wardrobe isn’t tall enough to hang a long dress without it touching the shelf below. The curtains let the light in and there are no voile privacy curtains so if you are in a lower deck and facing the quayside you need to keep them closed. There are USB ports by the dressing table and one side of the bed. There are a couple of glass fronted cupboards (why?) and the safe is in one. The safe isn’t big enough for an I pad. The bathrooms look lovely but space is limited. Instead of tissues tucked away they are in a box on top. The foot rest in the shower is at the wrong end. Your hair gets wet whether you want it or not. Form over function comes to mind.
  8. Howdy Cruisers, We're looking at two inter connecting cabins on Celebrity Millennium Deck 3 - 3124 and 3126. Can anyone tell me how the interconnecting doors work on this class of ship? Are they the same as on Solstice class ie. they form a single alcove outside the two cabin doors? Or do they have a door interconnecting within the cabins themselves. Thanks in advance.
  9. We will be staying in a family veranda on our upcoming Summit cruise to Bermuda. If anyone has updated photos that they could share would be most appreciated. If this was a corner unit, was wind a problem on sea days? Thank you, Elaine
  10. As well as 3095 to 3103? And others in similar positions on the other side. Since the price of the cruise has decreased, we have been offered a change of cabin. We are currently in 2194 as a OV guarantee. We like that it's going to be quiet above, but past cruises have proven that midship locations are much more convenient for us. We are not light sleepers at night, but do like afternoon naps.
  11. We are booked on the Millennium on the Alaska NB cruise out of Vancouver 6/7/19. I did some searches for newsletters from 2018 to study up on. I was only able to find a 2016 SB posting. Does anyone have their newsletters from this cruise in 2018? Thanks in advance!
  12. We currently have a veranda booked on the Millennium for a 14 day cruise around Japan in Apr 2021. We noticed the Concierge cabins are 25 sq ft larger. Is that additional space noticeable as they want $400 pp more to upgrade? We will be Elite plus after the cruise, so the additional CC points really don’t matter and really don’t care about the sparkling wine or canapés. So it pretty much comes down to cabin size. Also, is there a sofa or lounge chair in the veranda as the diagram on the X website shows a chair in the veranda whereas a Concierge cabin shows a sofa. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.
  13. Can anyone direct me to pics of the refurb? I did a search here but couldn't find anything. Would love to see what she looks like now. Thanks!!
  14. Well here we go then.. My first ever cruise (hence the name), first time in Asia and first blog of any kind. This will be an experience viewed from fresh eyes. It could go one of two ways!! I'm from Bristol in the UK and am travelling solo for what has the potential to be an amazing adventure! I have been lucky enough to be part of a very active Roll Call with a fantastic bunch of people, who I'm sure will make this cruise all the more memorable. I fly from London Heathrow airport in 3 days and arrive into Singapore on Wednesday early evening. This gives me a few days in which to explore what looks to be a stunning city. We embark on December 8 and overnight onboard, before departing at 6pm on December 9, and arrive in to Hong Kong on December 22, where I'll be spending a further 5 days. Please join me, and feel free to ask questions along the way. I hope to add lots of photos and the occasional video for good measure! Here is our itinerary Welcome...! 😊 Andy
  15. We are looking to take the Celebrity Millennium Northbound in Alaska. Cabin choices are 8172, 8185, and 7212. Which should we choose? We prefer the bed near the balcony. Please let us know which would be the better cabin. Thanks!
  16. My wife and I are getting ready to book a 14 day cruise around Japan, on the Celebrity Millennium. We are looking at Room 1128 Aqua Class, Deck 11. Anybody have any experiences and thoughts about the room, Aqua Class on Millennium, and the ship in general. It is my understanding that it will be going into Dry-Dock for a refit next year.
  17. A friend of mine is working on Millennium in Alaska at the moment and he posted some photos of the Northern Lights over the ship last night. Amazing! Phil Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. One for the experts... I have the option to change my balcony room from 6026 (sweet sixteen) to 6048 (angled balcony). Would you stick or swap, and why? Many thanks in advance. Andy Sent from my G8142 using Forums mobile app
  19. Seems to be the most closely guarded secret since the Manhattan Project!
  20. Was think of booking this cruise but was wondering about outside temperatures in the North Pacific at that time of the year Mark
  21. I have a question for anyone anyone who has done previous Celebrity cruises out of Singapore. With this nice itinerary having the first night as an overnight in Singapore, My husband isn’t planning to fly in until midnight on Saturday/Sunday. (I will have gone a few days earlier to explore Singapore on my own) Does anyone know if he will be able to check in/board the ship at maybe 1or 2 in the morning Sunday? Or should he book a hotel until the morning?
  22. Here are the news articles on this tragedy: https://www.cruiselawnews.com/2018/12/articles/crew-member-rights/officer-ends-life-celebrity-millennium/ http://crew-center.com/celebrity-millennium-officer-found-dead-his-cabin
  23. I read that the Celebrity Millennium is scheduled for dry-dock and upgrade this February. I have read several reviews and have found many negative comments about the Aqua Suites on Deck 11. Does anybody have some information in regards to what will be upgraded during the dry-docks. Will Aqua Class rooms be redone? I have heard some rumors that the modular cabins will actually be taken out and replaced. Thanks for any comments and information.
  24. Wiki (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celebrity_Cruises) says only the Millennium was refurbished (2012). No listing of the other ships in either classes being refurbed. That can't be right? Infinity entered service in 2001, 17 years ago!
  25. New to Millennium. Choosing stateroom. The deck plan indicates a larger verandah for 7171 or 7173. Is this an illusion or are the verandahs indeed larger? Inquiring minds want to know!
