  1. I had only seen snippets of this before but just came across the 12 minute video and it was so great, thought I'd share if anyone is interested.
  2. Help please. I am looking for a transatlantic cruise for 2022 and I need some information. Do then Apex and edge have defined balconies? Is there a spot on your balcony with two chairs that you can sit out? The descriptions on the website and in the brochure or a little unclear. Thank you for your help.
  3. Let's look a little closer and play "I SPY" The little changes I notice: Apex is the top picture, right? 1) pool is divided in the middle. less water movement? 2) rooftop Garden Grill has additional covered space. 3) The Sunset Bar has a solid blue cover vs. lattice open style cover. 4) Apex rooftop Garden has a larger open space in the center and the curved seating is gone. Looks like the new configuration lends itself to larger outdoor theater setting? 5)There is open space above the Iconic Suites. Can you access this space? Your turn! What other c
  4. This is a 12 night cruise with a May 26 2022 start from AMS. a few questions anyone done anything like this on Celebrity? The ports seem appropriate for a large ship and nothing seems to be gained by going smaller (eg Viking Ocean) We normally do a veranda or AQ is the price difference isn't too big - we like AQ. That said, the Sky Suite seems to intrigue me. Veranda is $3500pp. AQ is $4600. Sky is $6800. We aren't going here again anytime soon. Is the Sky (and Retreat) worth it? The outdoor area looks great but if its too cold then that may be a problem I don
  5. Did anyone receive an email from Celebrity thanking them for "keeping Celebrity cruises in their future travel plans?" I just received this email this morning for my September 18th sailing of the Apex in Europe. I'm just curious if this went out to everyone with a booking. -Heather
  6. We usually opt for the Solstice class of ship but have seen a few nice itineraries on the new class of ships. I really don't fancy the Infinite style balconies - Do the new ships have any of the normal style balconies anywhere? It's difficult to see from the deck plans
  7. Our final payment is due on the 14th for our May Apex cruise that clearly won’t be sailing. The transatlantic on May 1st was cancelled several weeks ago but still no word on this sailing. I would like advice on what we should do about our approx $2,000 non-refundable deposit. My understanding is that we have no option but to either lose it or pay the full amount only to have them refund it to us when they cancel. We are not interested in re-booking this so FCC do not interest us. I wonder if the anticipated ‘before Feb 12th’ announcements for the summer Alaska cruises will also include t
  8. I have an Infinite cabin booked on the Apex. I normally book a balcony and I hang my wet swimsuit on a chair on the balcony to dry.. The Infinite cabin is not a regular outside balcony. Is there a clothesline line in the shower?
  9. Greetings all. I’m booked on the Apex 4/30/2022 Fort Lauderdale to Amsterdam, 14 days in a single infinite veranda on deck 6. This is a particularly small cabin approx 135 sq ft + 45 veranda. I can book a panoramic ocean view for the same cost — obviously larger around 200 sq ft with sofa area, etc. (solo price). Will I miss the opportunity for some fresh air? Or feel trapped in the ocean view? I’m almost leaning toward the ocean view for maximum comfort for 14 days. Would anyone care to offer opinions, insights etc. All appreciated. THANK YO
  10. So, I just booked for October 2022 - TA; anyone else coming with us? Lift & Shift/FCC?New Bookings?
  11. Hi, Has anyone an idea were the Apex will be ? It is not on the Website.
  12. This is likely answered on the boards somewhere, but darned if I can find it easily. If you are AQ and assigned to Blu, can you try one of the four main dining room restaurants sometimes? I am asking because we currently have an Apex cruise planned for late November. Considering adding another cruise after for a B2B. Our first sailing is in Blu, as we normally book AQ category and are very happy with Blu. But I am wondering if I am missing out by not changing to a different type of balcony cabin for the second leg so I can try some of the other dining areas (besides specialty;
  13. Considering changing to Apex cabin #9305 .... pros & cons...and is there a connecting door as I'm very confused about the deck plan key and also is there an obstruction due to the location of the window washer equipment...Any pics would be great especially the one from the aft of ship showing cabin numbers. I saw a YouTube of cabin #7309 from Edge so is it similar? Thanks so much from this newbie to Celebrity as I have a cruise on Reflection (#1669) and am considering a change to the Apex.
  14. I am having a very hard time deciding and hope I may bother you for some advice and input. Background: This will be our very first time in a Suite (on a Celebrity Ship). We love a quiet and intimate / subdue atmosphere, fine dining (had the very best experience in Murano ) and are the relax in our cabin / on the balcony type of cruisers, who do not "use" entertainment/shows. Although rational reasons like a more interesting itinerary and closer embarkation port steer towards the Apex, I am leaning towards Silhouette: The Edge-videos I have seen seem to suggest that i
  15. Has anyone been able to get any suite discounts on Apex through Blue Chip Club for 2021 or 2022 cruises? I mean the 20-40% discounts they give to BCC members NOT one of the free cruise offers that include no perks. Standardly Blue Chip puts a block on discounts for new ships for about a year or until the next ship launches but since I've been hearing about people getting free cabin offers on Apex I was wondering if they were offering the suite discounts too. And yes, I know I can call and ask but if someone has a quick answer here it would save me calling and wasting a reps time if it's a defi
  16. Both in Oct 2022: EDEGE - Rome, Sicily, Rhodes, Santorini, Mykonos, Istanbul (overnight), Ephesus, Athens, Naples, Rome - includes 3 days at sea APEX - Rome, Olympia, Athens, Ephesus, Haifa, Jerusalem (overnight), Limassol, Rome - includes 4 days at sea
  17. Could someone please direct me to the hours of operation for the restaurants and bars on Apex? I can find menus but not times. I know the app will show me a week before sailing but I am 400+ days away 😅 Is there anywhere to grab a late night bite to eat, other than room service? Thanks!
  18. Around 0800 on Dec. 21. No obvious sign of passengers on deck — could be a trial cruise or repositioning.
  19. Hello all Transatlantic cruisers! Considering booking this cabin type. Are all Sky Suites on the Apex the infinite veranda type?
  20. The title says it all: I am looking at booking an RS on Apex and the Website states: RS - Infinite Veranda. I did not find this in the specifications at Celebrity's website nor in any review so I am wondering if this is true, a mistake, or an exaggeration (=floor to ceiling windows). The virtual tours show windows that do in fact resemble those of the infinite veranda staterooms... Maybe any of you stayed in an RS on the edge and can tell me? Thanks, kr Sana
  21. If anyone has stayed in the RS on EDGE, I am wondering here about balcony access. Have seen several videos where they access the balcony from the bedroom, but cannot tell if you can also access from the living room? It looks like there is a slider from there, but it may just also be a floor to ceiling window. Either way I am guessing it would be the same on APEX. THX!
  22. I know ships are same class and similar - does the APEX also have a butterfly sculpture at end of main pool like Edge - or something different?
  23. Does anybody know why APEX has been docked in Port Everglades for the past few days?
  24. We will be using the four main restaurants on our Apex cruise in October 2021. I have been trying to find the capacity of each (normal capacity, not trying to figure out any COVID spacing). Are they all the same size? From reading my roll call it seems that people are already making reservations in these (not speciality) restaurants a year in advance! Our last four cruises have been on small ships with true open dining and our previous Celebrity cruises were in Blu so I'm trying to figure out this different system for our "open" dining on Apex. Thanks in advance for replies.
  25. Hope this hasn’t already been posted. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Stay safe everyone!
