  1. I am on the Celebrity Millennium. We departed Tokyo on October 2 for a 10 day sailing. Weather has been fabulous except for one rough night. My balcony door blew off its tracks with high winds. Our itinerary was changed. When we were in Aomori it was announced that the port of Yokohama has been closed. We were supposed to dock there today. Instead we went back south on the Sea of Japan instead of taking the Pacific route to Yokohama. The cruise has been extended by two days and will arrive in Yokohama on Monday, October 14 instead of Saturday, October 12. The port of Nagasaki has been added for today. We are arriving at 130pm. Many passengers disembarking there. Weather should be sunny and mid 80s. It is 520am as I write this and it is balmy outside. Very calm seas. Celebrity has done an amazing job on all fronts! Very impressed in general with the Millennium and staff. A++. This is coming from a perspective of being a Silversea and Seabourn lover. Many aspects of this cruise are not only on par, but superior to true "luxury" lines. Keep in mind even though Millennium has been "Revolutionized" it is the oldest ship in the fleet. To be able to provide this level of service all around is impressive. As a disclaimer, I am speaking as a suite passenger.
  2. I’m sure these will change for next year but hopefully this will give those folks doing a Transpacific on Celebrity in the future an idea of the daily activities. Here is a link to the dailies from the September 2019 Vancouver to Tokyo Transpacific. Let me know if any questions. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-nCNT1UmPSZ4cbEkEB3A6vH3hOQtnKMQ_GW2CgHApvo
  3. Next summer, our northbound cruise will have us at the Anchorage airport fairly early. Does Celebrity maintain some sort of day room at the airport where you can wait for a late flight? Our flight isn't until 9:30 PM.
  4. I couldn’t find any info on 7134 on millennium on this site, so thought I’d ask on here we have booked stateroom 7134 for our March 2021 cruise. Wife asked TA for a balcony room mid-ship but looking at the deck plans it looks like 7134 is 2 rooms away from 7138 & 7140 and these 2 staterooms appear to ‘jut out’ a bit? does anyone know if this is the case and would they stick out far enough to obstruct our view? any advice would be helpful thanks
  5. We are considering a cruise on the Millennium in a Royal Suite and can't determine if the balconies are covered. Anyone know the answer? Thanks
  6. We've just booked a cruise on Millennium and our favorite OV cabin (3112) is taken, along with all the adjacent cabins. Our choice is 3132-3140 or the brand new cabins added on the port side. Can anyone tell me if those starboard cabins are still noisy (vibrations), were they also remodeled and did they keep the huge round windows? And has anyone seen the new cabins (3117-3125, I think)? Do they have the big round window or the normal rectangular one? Are they the same size as the other OV cabins? And which of those would likely be quietest? I'm really hoping someone who's on board now can help....
  7. I am sure that this has been answered a lot and after doing some research on here we already moved out of 9094 (which the Celebrity rep recommended) to 9140. This appears to potentially be around crew areas, which could be noisy if doors are slamming frequently. We are also aware of Deck 10 being above us, which could have its own cons. Currently have a lot of choice of rooms, what would you experts suggest? I would rather be on the starboard side, as in theory will see more (I believe anyway). This is for 11th Sept 2020 Vanc-Tokyo: Seasickness is not an issue, so do not mind the location of the stateroom with regards to this.
  8. Hi everyone, since they updated the ship, I read they also put in new TVs. Can someone let me know if the Millennium has the USB or HDMI plug on the TV ? Thank you.
  9. Hello All: Soon to sail the Beautiful Edgeified Celebrity Millennium. Cannot find any information on the Captain, Hotel Director, F&B Manager etc. Does anybody have a copy of a current daily or happen to know who is currently onboard? Thanks in advance,
  10. We returned from our transpacific cruise on the Millennium last week and I thought I'd add a little information (and some opinions) to supplement what is already posted here about the "revolutionized" Millie. I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have; note that we didn't continue on to Alaska, so can't comment on that. Also, since we weren't in a suite, I have no info on the Retreat, Luminae, etc. (Although we did participate in the cabin crawl on our roll call, so we got to see all categories of staterooms except Penthouse.) CABIN: We were in 3119, one of the newly added cabins on the port side near the midship elevators. There had been much discussion on these boards about whether these cabins would be smaller than other OV cabins, whether they would have the extra-large windows or the regular windows, whether they would be noisy from the foot traffic going to or from Tuscan Grill. I'm happy to report that the cabins are the same size as the other OV cabins (and, in fact, the same size as the veranda cabins) and they do have the extra large windows. Since this was a cold weather cruise with mostly sea days and not much scenery, we were completely satisfied with our huge window instead of a balcony. As for the location, it was perfect- very convenient to the elevators/stairs, near Guest Relations, etc. It was in a closed-off hallway so there was NO foot traffic from any other venue, therefore very quiet and private.
  11. We sailed on the Millennium prior to the ship being renovated and were assigned Stateroom 9125. We enjoyed the room and found it to be very quiet. The current Deck Plan depicts a renovation to the Oceanview Cafe on Deck 10 above Stateroom 9125. We have been assigned that Stateroom for an upcoming cruise. If anyone has stayed in Stateroom 9125 since the renovation , we would appreciate any input that you could provide regarding your experience. Thanks.
  12. Not sure if this is "new news" re Millie.... We are booked on Millie April 2020. Qsine is my fave X restaurant and I followed threads during and shortly after the recent refurb and was very happy when it wasn't replaced. I booked us into Qsine for our first night. Today I got a phone call from X to tell us that Qsine is being replaced with LPC. They offered to move our reservation to LPC and honor the price we had paid for Qsine so we accepted. We have never tried LPC so will hold judgement until we do... we do have it booked for a cruise next month on Reflection. What I loved about Qsine is the variety of dishes....you can go more than once and have a totally different experience. I understand that LPC is more of a fixed menu so is sort of a "one and done" type of thing. I guess I will soon find out.
  13. Hi everyone, can anyone who has sailed on Celebrity Millennium post revolution please tell me how many power outlets are in a CC stateroom? Also, are there USB outlets on each bedside?
  14. The Celebrity Website states that Millennium is still operating Qsine????? Is this correct? We loathe Petit Chef.....Enjoyed the variety Qsine brought. If still on Millennium, are they planning a changeover? Thanks, on Millennium for a couple weeks and we know no Murano or oceanliners etc......Safe Sails to all!
  15. Does anyone know where the bed is located in cabin 9097 on the Millennium, by the sliding door or bathroom? Celebrity is saying that all the beds in Aqua are now against wall in middle of room since redo. Is this correct? Also, is the smell of smoke a problem, as under area where people can smoke. Any information is greatly appreciated.
  16. I have finally completed my trip report. It was a GREAT cruise. I will be happy to answer any questions. Alaska Cruise Review.pdf
  17. As prospective Millennium cruisers with allergies to chemical smells, could anyone who has been on the Millennium since its renovations in February 2019 let me know whether you smelled any "new room" smells (from the new furnishings, carpets. etc.) in the cabins and staterooms?
  18. Anyone signed up for this followed by cruise July 26 2019? I’ve never been on a land tour prior to cruise, what to expect? linstadt
  19. Are the beds in Millennium veranda cabins (specifically I'm booked in Concierge class, but I assume they are the same in all veranda cabins) able to be split into two twin beds?

  22. Howdy Cruisers. We're on Millennium soon and I love my beer - good craft beer that is. I'm wondering can any like minded individuals who have cruised recently on Millennium give me some insight as to what I can expect and the best locations on the ship to find the hoppy nectar? Looking forward to the feedback - thanks in advance.
  23. I have 6144 booked on a future cruise on the Millennium and noticed a few aft C1s on deck 7 are available on that cruise. Having quiet time on our balcony is a big part of our cruising experience. We also prefer shade to sun so having a covered balcony is important to us. We were in 6144 on the Millennium on a recent cruise and discovered there's no canvas covering the balcony like there is on the Summit. After doing some CC searches I've read that the deck 7 C1 aft cabins on the M class ships have deep balconies, and are mostly covered. So I'm leaning towards switching to one of these but I have a few questions and looking to get advice and info from the experts here on CC. For those of you who have sailed in these cabins recently, did you experience any noise from other decks? I've read that people in the Aqua aft cabins on deck 11 could hear the movie playing loudly and some were impacted by that. Does anyone know if the noise extends to deck 7? Also, what type of furniture is on the balcony since the renovation? I'm assuming it is the new deck chairs, but no footstool and no loungers. Is that correct? I know cabin location preference is a personal choice, but I would very much appreciate hearing others' input and opinions. Thanks so much!
  24. Sorry if this is discussed before but I'm obviously not using the search correctly. We just upgraded to an A1 on Deck 11. I've never been in these cabins. Is there any covering at all on the balcony? How is the noise level? Are they more windy? Thanks again.
