  1. Royal just posted on IG that the Oasis Lagoon on Coco Cay is now open for guests.
  2. What is your favorite thing about the Oasis?
  3. Hello, We are doing a B2B on Oasis and I was wondering if anyone had any insight on how it works. This will be our first B2B. We will be in different cabins unfortunately. What do we do with the luggage and our stuff during the switch and how does it work ? Thank you.
  4. I really did try and search for topics on my questions. I know a read a post a few days ago about someone planning to go on the 4-nighter for 2020. I'm really okay with a 4-nighter to see what Oasis is like. Itinerary doesn't matter. I see Oasis is going on in for a refurb in late 2019. 1). What deck is the SL on presently? Will it remain on the same deck as far as you know? 2). I see there are suites on Decks 6-14. Can someone give an opinion on which is the most convenient deck for getting around? 3). Since alcohol available all day in the SL comparable to Michael's Lounge on Celebrity (as in many different things available and not simply same choices as the evening SL drinks)? Is there anything else I need to know?
  5. I've been on close to 20 cruises on nearly every mainline cruise out there, except Disney and NCL (going in August). I took this cruise with a neighbor friend, both of us widows, and we did the western route. I have sailed on the Navigator of the Seas on a TA back in 2009, but this was my first Oasis class. I have sailed on other mega ships - Carnival Vista and Breeze, MSC Divina, Celebrity Soltice class, but I guess this was the largest. All I can say is bigger does not mean better. Most evenings, we were just plain bored. No music with a cocktail before OR after dinner, no music anywhere before close to 10 PM. We got so bored in the evenings we ended up back in our cabin and read. Plus, I don't appreciate having to make "reservations" to see something in the evenings months before I cruise. Everything was an upsell or a line. On the second formal night, we went down to the anytime dining room and the line stretched out to the middle of the elevators. We ended up in the buffet, which is by the way one of the smallest of any ship I've been on. On the first formal night, we were in the MDR and a slob in a sleeveless, ribbed undershirt, cut-off jean shorts and tan workboots walked in and was seated. Everyone around us was staring and couldn't believe he was allowed in to the MDR - he should have been directed to the Windjammer or Sorrento's. I appreciated that there were plenty of elevators, our cabin steward was great, the balcony was a nice size, and I ended up reading two books! But I missed dancing, deck parties, a REAL live cruise director, an entertainment staff that was entertaining, things to do in the evening besides shopping their "promenade sales", and MUSIC! Where's the music on this ship? Dull, dull, dull. The Latin band was the best part, but they never started before 10 and not every night. We felt the entertainment, with the exception of the diving show, was very poor. Glad I tried it once, but won't try it again.
  6. just booked 7 cabins with my extended family for the july 18 2020 sailing out of cape liberty and have seen that oasis is going in for a 2 month dry dock/refurb in fall of this yr......has anyone read anything definitive on the changes being made? Will they be adding the slides that are on harmony and Symphony?possibly laser tag? Also will the shows be changed post dry dock?
  7. We are sailing on the Oasis this July and I'm wondering if lowly diamonds are still allowed in the diamond lounge or do we just have the 3 vouchers? I've heard rumors that it's now only for D+ and Pinacles. I'm ok with the vouchers but I would miss the speciatly coffees. TIA
  8. Hello, I am helping my niece to book a balcony ocean view cabin on Oasis. She is interest in 8690 but wondering what is the white, blank space across from the room. I was on Oasis once back in 2013 and can't remember what it is.Any idea ? TIA.

  10. Interested to hear peoples thoughts who've cruised this class of ship regarding crowding around the ship especially on sea days What's it like to get seated in the Windjammer ? What's your best points of this class of ship ? What's your worst ? We are looking to sail this class next year so any advice would be appreciated.
  11. Sorry, I know I’ve seen this discussed, but I can’t get the search to work right from my phone... When is it that Oasis is getting refurbed? Any thoughts on what they are adding? Thx!

  13. HI, Can anyone tell me approximately what time Oasis starts to let passengers on? What is the best time to arrive at the port in order to be ready to go once they open up boarding to Diamond members?
  14. Hi, I will be on the Oasis deck 7 aft port side. Will I be able to smell smoke from the outside smoking areas on the Oasis? If so is there a better deck or side so I do not smell smoke? Thanks ML Sent from my iPad using Forums
  15. I remember when we sailed on Allure, there was a room in the On Air Club on deck 5 in which you could make & email a video or photo "postcard". Does the Oasis have this feature?
  16. I'm new to RCCL, what can you tell me about the Oasis class ships? We have cruised plenty, but are just coming to RCCL. I know Oasis OTS was the first, and has recently come from dry dock. And that Symphony OTS is the newest. Where do Allure and Harmony fit in? What are the differences in these ships (if any)? I wish to have a small family celebration in November 2019 to celebrate our son's 50th birthday onboard one of these ships....a 7 day Carib cruise. We are in the northeast FL area and will most likely drive to the port. Port Canaveral is looking good to me since the drive is half that to FLL or Miami, and from my beginning research it seems Harmony will be home ported at Canaveral at that time. My question is does Harmony have all the amenities (zip line, slides, etc) as the newer Symphony? What are the differences in these ships? Thank you for any help you can provide to this RCCL newbie!

  21. I leave on Sunday for a week on the Oasis. I would like everyone's take, on what five foods, events, shows, etc., not to miss? What is a the best meal/dessert I should blow my diet for? Best place to dine if I am going to pay? Best game to play for prizes? Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.
