Can you book through a travel agent and still redeem the $250 OBC for Royal?

Yes, I did last month. Just be sure to claim the OBC quickly after booking. I did mine within 2 days. Certain pricing offers invalidate the OBC offer so I verified with the casino department if it would work with my reservation through my travel agent and they confirmed it would.

Who do I contact if I booked my cruise with a ta to add my obc?

TIA

As is the case in many offers...there are exceptions where these offers do no apply or cannot be used - one example is if you book a cruise through a TA using a "group rate" for a block of rooms they offer. Those discounted cabins (often hundreds below public rates) cannot be tied to additional OBC offers, which seems fair since you're saving more than what the OBC would be anyway.

However, for most other bookings, calling the Casino Royale number as others have recommended results in the MyVegas rewards being applied.

Ok... fiance and I have one cabin fully paid long ago... possibly splitting us into 2 cabins to add minor daughter and friend. I have a discounted bungalow & beverage package under my name that would be lost if I moved, so we'd be moving fiance to the other cabin, not me.

Question is - MyVegas is my account - can I redeem the OBC offer in fiance's name or must it be in my name? If in my name, can I apply it to the second, linked reservation (I am the reservation owner with RCL)?

Quick question, for those that get cruise insurance...would you get it from carnival or would you get from an outside company and how would it work if we got the free cruise? I am adding a 3rd person so I would like that covered and wondering what would happen with our fares if we did have to cancel. My grandmother has not been feeling well lately (she is not going on the cruise) so I would like insurance just in case something happens. Thanks!

Just to let you all know that today I booked my complimentary inside cabin on Carnival Pride for the 29th July, it took 34 minutes on the telephone. The only fees charged were the taxes at $127.25 per person, if I have to cancel I would get those reimbursed. I could have upgraded to an oceanview for $120 per person but decided that that was just the right amount of money for us to hang on to for cocktails lol.

That's awesome! Glad to hear people are getting the free cruise voucher. I've read so many post about stating Carnival isn't doing that anymore. I received a voucher the 1st of March but just couldn't make it work. We were however lucky enough to book our first ever premier cruise in Dec.

Good Luck and win big!

We just got back from a complimentary 7 night MyVegas Carnival cruise to the Caribbean. Our Ports were changed up because of the weather from hurricane Irma. But still nice. The only cost we had per person were optional balcony upgrade ($149), port fees ($50), and gratuities($90.) . All the long hours of playing MyVegas finally payed off. Sweeet.

Me too :) I was on the Pride for 7 days. No Grand Turk or Half Moon Cay. Rerouted to Charleston (yawn) and Nassau where I went to Atlantis and did the Dolphin Experience. It was a great day :D I also tried the drink program and almost maxed it out at 106! I never felt drunk though....weird...lol :P Carnival Staff are FANTASTIC and myVegas is AWESOME. I hope Carnival comes back as a reward (in 90 days :) ). What ship were you on?

Ok I have question. Since MyVegas is being very slow listing any free cruise opportunities, My wife and I were thinking about buying a cruise thru MSC or Royal Carribean and using the $250 OBC. My question is... since both my wife and I have separate MyVegas accounts can we each purchase the $250 OBC for the same cruise?

The OBC is for a cabin so you could not apply two for same booking. You could use for same cruise but would have to be two bookings/cabins which I doubt is what you want to do unless you have others joining you.

I was on the Pride also that same week. I was the guy always in some line for food or ice cream. LOL. It was rough seas leaving Nassau wasn't it? I was glad to get back up in the Chesapeake bay.
