Any ELITES booked the SKY Princess this morning??

As stated above, I had to call Princess and the deposits are refundable and only $100! I booked a 7 day Caribbean on the Sky and a 15 day Panama on the Pacific.

That's great. Afraid they were going to be 10%. Only problem is I won't have an FCD for a few weeks and don't think I can apply after the fact for OBC.

I used FCD for one and paid the deposit on the other. Depending on what cruise you are looking at, you may be okay in two weeks. The 7 day Sky was wide open. However I originally booked a cabin on the Pacific for the Panama and then changed my mind. When I called back the cabin I wanted had just been snatched. But the Pacific is way smaller than the Sky, so if that is what you are looking at you will probably be okay.

Enjoy the scenery, similar to what one would do in Glacier Bay or while cruising Amalia Glacier or Milford Sound. Would love it if Princess had some excursions to go off the ship via small boats like they do for Tracy Arm but doubt that will happen. Am very happy with the cruise as is.

Maritime laws for that area do not allow passengers from the size of Princess ships to go ashore.

If you use a TA; call now. Just got my booking and the cabin that I wanted to our 2020 SA cruise.

Sounds good! Thanks for the info - I was just curious! Hope you have a great cruise. If I remember correctly, I'll be seeing you on the Grand in August - looking forward to meeting up!

Yes you remember correctly! If you haven't been to Alaska before, you'll see what I mean about Glacier Bay. It will be our fifth time there and I'm sure I will be staring at the scenery most of the day just like I have in the past.

Today I got on line and checked the cruises I had booked yesterday. I began mock bookings for a penthouse suite on the Sky Princess for December of 2019 when I saw something I had not seen before. At the step when you select which section of the ship you are interested in, the web page showed the Mid-Aft sections as N/A. That is strange as there are 14 penthouse suites in that section.

I tried the mock booking for both all of the 7 and the 14 day bookings and all but one of those had the same N/A label. The one that did not show as N/A had a note that all the penthouse suites were sold out.

I can believe the sold out part. After all, this is the first month the new ship will be cruising the Caribbean, Of course there are those (expletive deleted) unethical people who will book cabins knowing that they are most likely going to cancel them. What baffles me is the labeling the Mid-Aft section of the ship as N/A. In the past, that label meant that there were none of the selected type of cabin in that section of the ship.

Booked the Sky Princess yesterday for December 14, 2019. Had to call Princess to book. Booked an obstructed balcony on Emerald Deck (larger angled balcony). Will take an upgrade if offered for free biput doesn't really matter.

Never could book through the website. Emailed my Princess rep to see why not and she said for me to give her the info and she would take care of it. Two emails and 20 minutes and we are booked in a deluxe balcony for three on the 12-4-19 Sky sailing.

My rep said for me to always go through her as I can get Casino rates (up to 35% off) on selected sailings. I'm looking at a Jan 2019 Regal sailing for a anniversary cruise. I'll do a work up and compare her pricing to see if they are the same.

Hey TrafficGirl, we booked the same cruise! Probably the same cabin on the other side of the ship... Marked it No Upgrade since we love that balcony.

We will definitely be checking out the scenery in Glacier Bay! This will be our 4th to Alaska & we always pick the ships that go there. Will get a different perspective this time as we splurged on a window suite. I think we'll do tea in the cabin that day
