Offers received from Club Royale (Royal Caribbean)

@snoope: Are you receiving emails from Club Royale? Although Club Royale does often send out physical mailings as well, I typically find out about these invitational events in email first.

When I called back in, I was told that I chose to opt out of marketing emails - I didn’t. So I signed up for them. I also asked if there was any offers for me, they said no - they have to be emailed or mailed to you. Hopefully this changes now.

I was told the same thing, but I didn't opt out of them, so they apparently "fixed" it, and I have yet to receive anything since it was "fixed". When I originally became VIP, I received a Tiffany offer, but was told I haven't received any offers because I didn't accept that offer. I was also told that we would be re-evaluated after our upcoming cruise in April.

I've received dozens of offers for specific cruises/events over the past few years, and only one have I taken. They continue to arrive, and I continue to lament that I wish I could go, but all my vacation days for the next three years are already booked/planned on cruises. (Seriously... I'm such a cruising addict that I had to put together a spreadsheet to calculate how many vacation days I'm earning and when I earn them to ensure that my cruises don't deplete my future allotment of vacation time.)

Maybe it has something to do with your level of play or frequency. I get the offers but never go on the “players cruises” yet they keep sending them to me. I get all my offers via the post office. I tried to fix my email offers a few years ago but was unsuccessful. Honestly I tend to throw them out or lose them. I always just call and they apply my offers based on what I’m wanting my next trip to be.

Regarding email malfunction from Royal Caribbean, I had a problem for several years where I wouldn't receive any promotional emails from Royal Caribbean, whether it be from Royal Caribbean itself, Crown & Anchor, or Club Royale. I would occasionally check with representatives in each group and confirm that my email address was on file and that promotional emails were enabled.

Finally, about two years ago, promotional emails started flowing in again. Now, I'm very delicate with my handling of web forms with Royal Caribbean where I might inadvertently disable that again.

The problem I'm having at the moment, and which I've had once before, is that my email address has somehow ended up on someone else's Crown & Anchor account. Today, I received a note from Royal Caribbean telling me that "It's your special day, Cesar Jose!" I called up Royal Caribbean, and they did confirm that my email address is on some Cesar Jose's account for some reason. I need to contact Crown & Anchor directly to get it removed, though.

When you call Crown and Anchor ask to speak with a Resolutions Supervisor. I have been working with Otto. He works after 3 pm. I have had ongoing problems with a non existent phone number showing up in my profile. I jsed to chanfe it myself but I was tired or doing that. I have been told not to change it myself and that it would be monitored. For the last few weeks it has been fixed and then goes back to the non existent number. Otto was going to reach out after monitoring to IT. I never know what phone number will appear.... Yesterday and today seemed to be the correct number. He may be the right person to fix your email problem.

So, I contacted Club Royale about not receiving offers again, the agent I dealt with sent off an email to the higher ups and the marketing department said it is because I do not have a US address on file with Crown & Anchor, might have something to do with the fact that I am Canadian. I emailed back to see what they are able to do but, I suspect nothing will be done :(

Out of curiosity, are there other Canadians that are Club Royale members and don't receive any offers? If not having a US address is the problem with not receiving any casino offers, we should have been told that from the beginning, instead of wondering why we aren't receiving any offers. I wonder if they could come up with something for us, just an idea.

Yes I am Canadian and have never received any emails or snail mail offers ever!

I have told them every time and they never have provided any explanation.

I have not sailed since Nov 16 and now I guess I’m no longer a “lifetime” Casino Royale player as the letter states that I received when being invited. everyvtime I call for a price my special price with casino discount is usually higher than I can get online without paying US dollars. Oh well I won’t be spending allot in the casino on my next sailing it doesn’t seem to matter as they are such terrible offers now compared to before this new wonderful program they have implemented.

I am Canadian. We started sailing Royal in November 2014. I know we got email offers in Q4 2016. We have not received any emails since and have never gotten anything in snail mail. I do get regular RCL and C&A emails.

I think it would be better to ask if there any Canadians on this forum receiving these offers?

Good call, but I figured there were more not receiving offers and maybe Royal would see this and try to fix it somehow :)

Hi we aren't Canadian we are British but we don't receive emails or snail mail from the casino. According to them we are set up for emails but they simply don't arrive. Another rep simply said good luck when I asked him to check if we should receive emails being in a foreign country 😔😔 he seemed to think they were more concerned with the US clients as they may have less travel to get to ports so are more likely to cruise when offers come up 😡😡

Has anyone gotten the flyer for the new program? Would you be kind enough to post it? By the way, we will have to requalify each year—according to the latest rep with whom I spoke. First year qualifying period is 17 or 18 months, second year is 15 months and then 12 months each year after that. Thanks for any info. Katherine

From the many reps I spoke to this is not accurate.

While there is a qualifying period every year you can only move up. Once you attain a level you don’t move down.

Interesting. The rep this morning was very, very clear saying that many folks are misinformed. He thought it pretty funny that players would think there would be no requalification needed to continue to get the benefits. I reminded him that the old “VIP” status did not require requalification and he agreed. I guess we will just have to wait and see. But I would love to see something in writing. The rep I spoke to said he had nothing to send out.

I think I will be fine getting to the second tier - free drinks and no 5 percent fee. I am a blackjack player and points do not accumulate very quickly, but I am cruising 8 or 9 times a year. Katherine

The rep I spoke with yesterday said we had to re-qualify each year, you start at the lowest level if you have not obtained enough points.

I had to call casino royale because of an upcoming cruise booked through them and asked about the point system. I wanted to know if they could tell me where we were at on points from the period of June 2016 through December 2017 and they could not. (so I know if will continue to have complimentary alcohol on our April 8 cruise) The rep said they could only tell us what our points were from our last cruise. But on 3/31 they’ll be able to give out total points for the period. Was also told that the requalifying It is based on the previous year. I guess wwe’ll all know the facts on 3/31.

I received this one yesterday as well. I was pleasantly surprised to see a Bermuda sailing on there. Not sure if we’ll take any of them on top of the ones we already have booked, but we’ll see. :)

Linda - thanks for taking the time to post. I would be a major handicap for any real golfer...

I could not make the golf cruise last time but I am planning on going in May. (I thought about Sept. date but thought the weather would be better in May.) According to the invitation I received there is no cost - included is my stateroom, golf tournament entry fee for one, comp green fees and cart, transportation, reception and pairings party... And (of course) nice to know Andy will be performing! Thanks for the email address. And I hope you decide to go... would be nice to see you again...

Received my Golf invite there is no cost for me too, last year they wanted me to pay $250 to play in the Golf event. You know me, I would jump on Anthem in a heartbeat ;) ,going again next Sunday---won't know until April if we're able to do any May sailings. I just spoke to Dawn and Andy will definitely be on board :D:cool:

Don't worry about your handicap, mine is so bad and the team we previously played with wanted to team up with us again----lol, we had a lot of fun. If we do go on that sailing, I'll probably not play Golf this time.

I was told Anthem is getting new slots too but they could not tell me the ETA.

On no... taking away the machines which pay!!!!

Or, taking away the machines they are not making any money on because they are not being played enough to make the casino any money.

Nothing yet, I spoke with them yesterday and they said sometime in March we should received an email.

I received the offer, I'm sure not as good as yours :) my offer only has a listing of 5 cruises that are only 3 or 4 night sailings or a dollar amount towards a cruise of my choice.. Hope to see you in the near future :D

Casino RoyaleSM invites you to win big in the new year with an exclusive

selection of action-packed itineraries and a complimentary stateroom

on the house.

There's also a Baseball offer going out to CR members, if you qualify for invites.
