Special End of Cruise Show / Party?

Is there an end of cruise social event, where the Captain and staff briefly attend? This was my experience on Celebrity and O.

On Barcelona the Baltics and Beyond (3 weeks) there was a party in the atrium...singers, the captain spoke, and the officers were there as well. Drinks were passed. The atrium was so full that folks were sitting on the stairs. I sat back by guest services. The view was not there, but you could hear what was going on. Our captain was very personable and made a great speech. We could hear the other officers being introduced but, frankly, you couldn't see unless you were right there. We were behind a staircase. I think there were folks passing canapes as well, but I think the whole ship was there and there was no way that they could make it around to everyone! It was a nice end to the cruise.
