Disney Cruise packing

we set sail on Dream February 5, 2018. Does Disney still do fish finder, offer navigator highlighters, and castaway cay magnetic wipe on/off boards for the door with expo marker?

How do you find other fish finder families or individuals who want to do on the cruise?

DISNEY never did those things. Individuals cruising on DCL did them. OK, at one time the CC gift did include a magnetic board. Yes, if you want to do fish extenders, there are people who do them--you can go to your "roll call" section of this board or locate a group on another board or social media site. If there isn't a FE group but there are people in your roll call, you can start one. Cruise Critic isn't the busiest site for DCL cruises, so don't hesitate to look elsewhere. Sorry, but we aren't allowed to list other sites here.

If you want highlighters, a memo board on your door, or whatever, you either bring your own or receive them as FE gifts. Of course, since you never know what you might receive as a FE gift, you really do need to pack anything that you want to be sure to have. You will get the return cruiser gift if you are not a first timer. The contents of the bags that they've given out have varied over the years. Perhaps someone who has cruised recently can post the current contents for you.

Shmoo...am I right in guessing that everyone gets the bag and the higher up the CC level you get' date=' the more "add ons" you get? That's how it used to be, anyhow.[/quote']

Yes. The basic gift is a bag (at least has been for a number of years). The type of bag tended to vary, depending on itinerary of the ship, but recently it seems DCL is giving everyone the sling bag.

Gold level you get the bag and the luggage tags.

Platinum - bag, luggage tags, and choice of in room treats. Also, platinum gets a comped meal in Palo.

That sounds really nice. Being Disney I wish that they would give a little something to the newbie cruiser to make their first cruise on DCL special. Is there anything?

Pooh

A great cruise? A chance to spend lots of money? If you go to the DVC sales pitch, there are some handout gifts; these typically change more often than the DCL gifts. There is not a standard "first time cruiser gift."
