I am looking for an advice about top ten to do and do not miss in London for 2 days. Please mention the places I need to go and your personal top ten.

i am open to suggestions also for accessible places to eat in the hurry days. maybe a market, a hole in the wall place, etc.

Thanks Everyone!!!

The London Eye, you can see all over London on a clear day, even Buckingham Palace, it is next to Houses if Parliament, which is open to the public at certain times of the year. We love to eat at Covent Garden, lots going on here, undercover Market, lots of food outlets, street entertainment. Would be a good idea to get an 'Oyster Card' to use on the london underground, or use. HOHO buses to get about.

The Borough market is great for food and the Shard for a view. You can then walk along the river pass th Golden hind to the London eye and up past Big Ben Houses of parliment and Downing street then up to Trafalgar Square.China town is also near by as is Covent garden.

Hi, I think there are three things that are definitely worth doing while you are in London and both of them are free!

Firstly, about you can book to go to the sky gardens - they release the booking availability three weeks in advance and they run out fast so it may be worth putting a reminder in your calendar to check their website http://skygarden.london/plan-your-visit.

The other recommendation is to check the tower bridge website for when the bridge lifts take place - itís just something nice to see and only takes about ten minutes. The website is http://www.towerbridge.org.uk/lift-times/ and more bridge lifts are added nearer the time.

Last of my top three free places but definitely not least is a visit to a tiny park called Postmanís Park. Itís very close to St Paulís Cathedral and the website is https://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/thin...39;s-Park.aspx - the main thing to see there is the watts memorial.

Finally, if you only have a couple of days in London, Iím not sure the London eye is worth a visit because as well as being pretty expensive, it involves a lot of queueing and waiting around - unless, of course, you want to queue because thatís what the uk is famous for! You can get a similar 360 degree view from the top of the Sky Gardens( just take your time and walk all the way around the gardens) for free. You could also get a different view from the emirates cable car https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/emirates-air-line/.

I think the OP will have visited London by now as this thread is 6 years old although I'm sure the information will be useful to other people visiting there.

Thank you for the wonderful suggestions and links. The Sky Gardens look amazing. We are staying in Southampton for 4 nights waiting for our next cruise out. Can you please tell me if the trains run at night from London to Southampton. I hope so. That would give me more time in London. Thank you again.

Thank you for that link and the information. That will help a lot with my planning.
