IS 11:30 am flight cutting it so close??

We fly in and out of Fort Lauderdale Airport. Is a 11:30 am flight cutting it to close? The last cruise I was on that was in Fort Lauderdale I remember being at the airport at 9:00am. I'm just not sure and need advise. Thanks all who answer.

We always try to get a flight about 11:30. We usually leave the ship about 8:00, pick up our luggage, get a taxi, and are at the airport by 9:00.

This is discussed daily on the Florida Departures board. 11:30 definitely doable. Have done 10:50 a couple of times with no problems.

Do you self check off the ship or wait to be called?

Have done both. Usually self carry off. But as we are typically in Suites, we can go when we wish.

Probably fine, personally I prefer later in the day, or even better stay overnight and fly the next day.

But then I get enough stress in my professional life so try and avoid it as much as I can when I’m not at work.

It is theoretically doable.

My son had a 10:20 flight early this year out of FLL. Did self-disembark and was at airport a little past 8am. Of course, there was no ship and docking delays, and road traffic was fine.

But my wife and I chose the past noon flight to be stressed-free.

11:30 is fine. No worries.

Only flew in and out of FL once. We had an 1130 departure time. Got to airport and they offered us seats on the 0900 flight. So we were home before our original flight.

We took a chance and booked a 10:20 flight for our February cruise. We are in a high end suite so our luggage should be off the ship before we are. Worst case we have to get a later flight for more $ or spend an extra night in FLL.

Walk off and you will be fine the port and airport are very near each other
