Earliest You Can Check Bags For A Flight?

I will be getting off Celebrity Silhouette in Ft. Lauderdale for a 1:55 pm flight from FLL to ATL. I am hoping to be able to register for the Luggage Valet program. But if that option doesn't work out, how many hours before a flight can you drop off your bags at curbside check-in?

FLL used to have a rule that bags couldn't be checked more than 3 hours out. Not sure if that is true. Suggest you ask on the Florida Departures board.

It should be pretty easy to find out if Celebrity has the Luggage Direct option...ask on the Celebrity board.

Thanks for the reply. I know Celebrity has the program...I just am one of those over planners who like to have a clear Plan B etc. [emoji848]

I just checked the airport web site and it says that the time for check in of luggage varies by airline and it is 2 to 4 hours.

You can though store your luggage at Bags To Go.

At FLL, it depends on the airline. I mainly fly Delta, and at FLL, DL won't allow bags to be checked until 3 hours pre-flight. They have a representative circulating around the check-in area who will ask what time your flight is and won't let you get in line to check your bags if it's more than 3 hours til your flight.
