What is "NOT" Free on board?

Recommended Posts

Since we are on a cashless system on the Liberty of the Seas cruise on Dec 24th, I have a question for the group?

Even though while on the ship, I have purchased my drink card, what are the Non Free things that I should be aware of while on board that could go against my credit card on file?

I appreciate everyone's comments.

If you add tips to any drinks you buy

Spa services

Purchases in any store

Any specialty restaurants

Arcade games

Cupcakes in the cupcake shop

Ice cream at Ben & Jerry’s

Any classes that have the $ beside them in the cruise compass

Room service other than complementary breakfast items

Automatic gratuities if you didn’t prepay

Probably easier to list what is free:

-Dining in the Windjammer/MDR. Specialty restaurants have additional charges.

-Entertainment is free

-Gym is free (some classes have a charge)

-Some activities are free. Ones that have a charge are marked as such in the cruise compass

Some of the stuff that has a charge include

-Shore excursions (can get off the boat and walk around for free)

-Spa

-In-Room Dining (other than continental breakfast)

- Gratuities (can be paid in advance when booking the cruise)

You’ll know when your account is being charged as staff will ask for your seapass card and present a receipt to sign. Activities that have a charge are also indicated in the compass.

They will ask for your Seapass card and charge will be billed if you do anything or purchase anything that is not an included or free activity.

The exception that I can think of is photographs. You can get your picture taken and sometimes they ask for your Seapass card - they don't always ask, but you are not billed. Photographs are displayed and you only pay for the ones you choose to keep.
