Looks like Island Princess may be going to drydock. She is supposed to leave at 1430 and there is a 10 day gap in her schedule.

Probably, we seem to have a lot of ships [Carnival corp] drydocking right now, before Christmas/New Year's/Caribbean [or Australia - Noordam] really get into full swing.

Roy,

I really enjoyed your blog (and loved the part where you wanted a bathtub on your next Prinsendam cruise;p) but I do have a question. You mentioned you travel with two laptops, an iPad, and an iPad mini. Why so many?

That's a habit that's hard to break. In part, I have suffered a laptop failure or 2 while on a cruise and a backup is then really a blessing. As to the IPAD's they're light and I probably shouldn't carry both on HAL. Part of the functionality that I get from HAL's navigator is done with an app called press reader that only works on an IPAD. I usually use the big one for capturing menus, but the little one is nice to carry around with me off the ship.

Thanks for satisfying my curiosity.

I travel with two devices which in the past have been my iPad and mini. This past summer I bought a Surface Pro 4 to take and will still take my mini. My iPad is over five years old and is showing its age. It frequently freezes up and will drop the internet for no apparent reason. I carry my mini around in my purse all the time on the ship.

Is this “press reader” something I should have? I’ve never heard of it.
