World cruise

We are two of the many who want to follow the adventures of the Sun world cruise. Is there a blog / forum where the world travellers are posting updates ? If so please let everyone know. Cheers to all of you / all of them - we hope you have a fabulous time. H & F

There are several bloggers who have posted links on the World Cruise Roll Call site. I am boarding in LA and will start one on this board next week. Sounds like the MIA cruisers got off to a great start. We still have lots of last minute type stuff to do but it will be here very soon. I plan to start with all the tasks that have to be done prior to sailing on such a trip and some of the reasons for doing one in the first place. Back next week. :cool:

The Vikng Sun is going through the Panama Canal on Christmas Eve.

Love the blogs , linked in earlier post, by two of the WC passengers on this thread.

I did a Panama Canal cruise on the Celebrity Century a number of years ago. We went through the locks on Christmas Eve too. It was a fabulous day, except for the poor person who broke her leg and had to be taken off ship at Pedro Miguel locks. She spent Christmas in a hospital in Panama.

I noticed only yesterday that Viking added an excursion to Iran. This excursion was not listed when we booked our outings. We did not receive any announcement that they added the excursion and unfortunately the excursion is sold out.

I wonder if it is because we only have a deluxe veranda on deck 4.

Anyway, I'm quite bummed out.

Do they typically increase the size of excursions?

Did not see it either.....from which port? Perhaps if enough of us want to go they might add more spaces.
