Costa Liquor Policy

I have a TA cruise coming up with Costa in a few weeks. I was wondering what happens if one brings liquor on board with your bags and or purchases a bottle along the way while in port?

Costa offical policy about bringing food & drink onboard is:

Can I bring food and beverages on board? No food or drink purchased on land may be brought aboard. Any local products purchased during excursions can be handed to Security Costa staff for safekeeping and collected before disembarking at the end of the cruise.

You will get messages about people boasting about how they smuggeled drink onboard under the noses of Costa staff. What they don't realise s that they are spoiling it for all cruise passengers. Costa will be extending the embarcation / disembarcation checks, thus further reducing the time available on shore.

Buy one of the Costa's drink packages, they are the cheapest in the cruise industry.

Ueraft here...well the cruise was great and yes, you can sneak a bottle back on the ship. BUT, be advised that one has to clear a bag check every time you come back onto the boat. We had a blast on this TA Cruise. We didn't purchase a drink package and we came in well under to cost of one and we like our cocktails and wine. The wine bar is a great place to hang out before dinner. Enjoy!!

I don't think we'll ever do a TA as we are not so keen on the sea days. It looks as if you had a good time though.
