dining times and seating on Discovery 2

We have just booked to go on a 14 night cruise next January in the Caribbean on Discovery 2. We have previously been on P& O where we selected "second sitting" at about 8.30pm and a table of 8. There does not seem to be an option on Marella. So my question is can we request a table of 8 when we board and will we be with the same people each night?

The dining format is the same as 'freedom dining' on P&O, I.e. you check in at the restaurant reception desk each time and you can request a specific table size.

So the answer to both questions is no.
